Halloween Party Songs

I have been hired to DJ for a party the night before Halloween, so I was hoping to get some ideas from you guys. I need about 60 of them to cover four hours of songs. The ones I have so far are:

1. The Time Warp
2. The Monster Mash
3. Thriller
4. Nightmare on my street
5. Ghostbusters (maybe)

The crowd is basically college students, so keep that in mind. What else do you guys think would be good?

Re: Halloween Party Songs

Most anything by Rob or White Zombie, Static X, older Metallica like Creeping Death and/or Ride the Lightning. Mushroomhead's Solitare off of the XX album, Judas Priest's Painkiller or Touch of Evil, Lordi also has a lot of good monster songs, as does GWAR.

Re: Halloween Party Songs

Listening to some of these, but not sure how college folk would like Purple People Eater. Seems to "oldies" IMO, but I'll keep it as a backup.

Haha was considering it, actually. Maybe the Halloween theme from the Rob Zombie remake.

it's a halloween party, they'll be too busy having fun to think the music is old. . .we would throw parties all the time when i was in school, and unless it was a bunch highschool kids trying to get into a college kegger, they loved the older music we played. . .hell we basically put the soundtrack for animal house in, and everyone was dancing to it. . .

Re: Halloween Party Songs

I'm also DJing a friends party on halloween but if there is anything I learned, it's that college kids just wanna grind and hump on the dance floor. I'll throw in the occasional themed tunes but for the most part, they just wanna rape each other.

I'm putting together a disc for our Haunted House we do evey year, and I found you need loud music with weird sounds, riffs, and random noises to set the Halloween mood.

haunted house and college party are not even in the same ballpark. . .scary noises aren't what he needs to set the mood. . .the mood will be set when the first girl that wears an angel/devil/nurse/schoolgirl costume walks through the door

Rocky Horror Picture Show
Although it's not party music, check out Inner Sanctum Mysteries. Awesome old time radio shows from the 1930's and 1940's.
