37 mpg highway? Maybe if you're cruising at 50 down a hill...And he needs to fix that steering, that's a good way to kill someone.

Seems like after all he put in it he would have done the steering right.

I don't think you could ever get use to reversed steering.

I think you could, I drove a forklift years ago and you had to be really good at driving in reverse, of course when I would get in my car I was always flicking the wiper stalk to back up. Thats what I would be worried about with reverse steering, the memory items like that, driving a normal car immediately after and making a big left turn into a parked car.

Work for a company that has a contract through Proctor & Gamble so where on production. Running them hard none stop. One bad thing I don't like is that us forklift drivers has the right of way, not the pedestrian's

Re: Craigslist fail

got a friend that has a right hand drive 240 thats a manual. he is right handed and says that car is easier to shift left handed than driving a left hand steering car/shift right handed. but he has had the car 15+ yrs or so, so he is used to it.

but turning the wheel right to go left would really take some getting used to.

lol i do the opposite - i try to use turn signals with the forktruck's FNR lever haha. only once have i actually backed up when i meant to turn left

gimmie the diesel or gas forktruck any day - hate those electric ones... especially those Mitsubishi tri wheel things! (altho they do have the most comfortable seats ever...)

one thing ive wondered: in cars that are RHD and when you travel to like Brittan on a standard transmission vehicle is 1st still to the left and up? or is it to the right and up? (so in other words here first is on the left 5th is on the right - over there does it stay the same or is 1st where our 5th is?)

that would screw me over all the time...

From what I have seen on Top Gear, the shifter moves the same way. So if first is the top left here, its the top left there.

Procrastination has carried me this far in life, it will carry me to my grave, and hopefully put that off as well.

'98 RCSB on jack stands, waiting on me to get the 4.8 and T56 swap together, while I steal parts off of it to keep the daily going.

'99 2DR 2WD Blazer that I bought for a daily but just can't leave it alone.

its the same transmission with the same pattern, in fact the pedals still have the right foot as the accelerator and the left foot as the brake clutch.
