Cadillac motor home?

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/one-l...item20b2387c35

I didn't even know these existed. This is pretty cool. It looks pretty ugly. But it's a neat concept for sure.

Way I understand this was legit through a coach modification company.

It's still kinda ugly cause it's so blocky on such a curvy body. But it's unique as anything for sure.

To say the least!! It's ugly as hell, but I am sure some years back it would have been cool to have.

Motor homes have come a long ways though since that thing was built!

It's cool in the never-seen-one-before/never-gonna-see-one-again sort of way.

Re: Cadillac motor home?

I like the old Toyota mobile homes... you could easily take the back part off, and have yourself a mini Toyota Dually.

Re: Cadillac motor home?

They Caddy motor home is legit. I've seen several of them. They took what was used for hearse conversions and put a motorhome on the back instead.

Re: Cadillac motor home?

my buddy looks at it and goes "i should buy that" lol
i like it. kinda odd that they would make it out of an already 6 or 7 year old caddy if it was built in 66-67.

Re: Cadillac motor home?

Maybe they were old Hearses. Most hearses are very low mile vehicles.

We have a super low-mile Cadillac Fleetwood Limo that just came in at the junkyard. Granted the funeral home owned it and that's what they used to take families in grief to the graveyard. My mom absolutely hates it. I want the seats and engine/drivetrain out of it. Badly. My Caprice needs an awesome drivetrain

It was in their fleet for a while. They got newer cadillacs and weren't using it as much. The newer ones aren't as depressing apparently. This car had tissue dispensers in it lol.

But it runs fine.

Re: Cadillac motor home?

I'd rock it, put diesel in it, freshen it up, upgrade the suspension, white paint job with slight pinstriping.

That's crazy that they junk it even though it runs just fine. I assume you do not get the title with it though, so you are only able to use it for parts?

What a waste. Surely they could have sold it and got some money out of it...

Re: Cadillac motor home?

I see used limos for sale all the time around here. There's a few people that specialize in selling used limos and hearses.

This isn't that kind of limo. It's a 6-door limo. It's boxier, black with a charcoal top. It's 3-row seating. It's a genuinely depressing vehicle. It's not like a regular limo in any sense lol.

And for the record they sat it out for sale for a year. Nobody even went near it.

Re: Cadillac motor home?

Now I wanna see pics. I love oddball conversions.

My first car was a black 71 Pontiac Safari station wagon. It came from a funeral home. It wasn't a hearse but was used as a flower car.

I don't see how it's depressing. It was a fine automobile, would people rather flatbed instead perhaps? I think not.

it's the association with Death and the negative stigma we attach to it in life.

The limo only had living people in it. The hearse is what had the dead people in it!

This is true. But people were in mourning inside it and some would say there's a "negative energy" or some bullshit.

Honestly I don't see the big deal. It's a coach built limo.
