if i was carrying and i was there, i wouldn't try to take him out. in a dark movie theater filled with tear gas, you are not gonna be able to take out a dude in body armor.

Lol @ high speed .45/.357

Those few words there tell me you dont know the first thing about your so called mr. .45 or .357.

Do we REALLY We really need MORE people with ccws?

Over 7mil in the great USA have ccws. Give or take a few. This is not including the open Carry states who have non ccw forearm owners.

You know how many people actually CARRY that firearm on a day to day basis? Let alone, have the training to use it in a high stress scenereo?

What we need is, properly trained civilians carrying their firearms, and recieving proper education.

Minimal of 4 hours a week.

Just to hold my licenses, I need 120 hours a year of training. Which even then, is not enough to make me comfortable with this situation.

Could I respond in this type of a situation to save my OWN life?

Who knows........

Funny how many people in this thread(and many others like it) are thinking "if I was there, it would have been different"

1low4x4 is right. Have to agree with him.

The ones who are saying that they are going to get head-shots must play lots of Call of Duty.

I think you would need a few few flashbangs and scavenger to take him out, that way you have unlimited ammo. But if you're hardcore, you wont re spawn. Shitty

Re: batman shooting. crazy

@1low4x4- i did not say the .45 or the .357 were high speed rounds so re-read what i posted. i simply stated thats what i choose to carry because most people who pose a threat dont wear body armor. i also said shoot him in the face where there is no protection if you were using a pistol. firearms are actually my bread and butter as well as my passion. in my off time i help co-run cmp courses and matches; mainly m1 and ar-15. i also do not want tards running around with pistols thats why ccw courses are usually pretty stringent and informative where i live. 7 million to 300 million is about 1 in 30 and most places dont allow firearms. lastly most people say they'll shoot someone but most are all talk. i have no qualms with eliminating a threat.

^have you ever actually shot any body or been shot yourself?

This is a 14year old entry wound from a fragment after traveling through my buddy first.I promise you,if or when shit goes down around you the last thing on your mind is being Rambo.I know there are a lot of military and ex military on here that have been through worse and can comment further on the topic of gunfire and people dropping around you.I do know when your childhood friend is dead next to you and blood starts boiling out of you like a drinking fountain last thing you wanna do is shoot someone in the face.

Well... up here,,, I have many guns and all I need is my FAC for long guns.

We can't carry hand guns,,, but I'd rather have my 12 or 10 guage anyways!!

I have been a hunter for ever and I have hours and hours of shooting.

When it comes down to it,, I ain't gonna flinch at shooting you if it comes down to you and me.

Think about your life first,, then if you want,, feel guilty afterwards!

It's not about feeling guilty. Its about the collateral damage if somebody who is not properly trained, or does not keep up with their training.

Its not like riding a bike. You do forget, you do "lose it" believe it or not.

A theater with 200+ people, the dark, the confusion, the emotion, the smoke, the people being struck all around you, highly doubt a responsible and educated decision could come out of an average person.

Ironic. But yeah, just shoot him in the face, in a situation such as the one in this topic, it must be easy to just pull out your pistol and get a nice shot off to his face.

well i didnt say i could plus i hate cs lol. ive been in cs chambers before and without doubt i would not be able to shoot someone in the face under its effects. most of you probably have never been in a cs chamber before but it sucks balls. some people are immune to it; they say about 1%.

@blazerzr5- i havent shot anybody but my rifle has been aimed at centermass 3 times at home. in the military we musnt have any conflictions with shooting people nor be bothered by gunfire. i have been shot and ive seen dead people so dont preach to me. also when you see your friend get shot downrange you usually eliminate the guy then pray you can help your friend.

Because we live in a country where people are tried for their crimes.

And because drones can't attack on American soil yet.

I'm sure he'll be admitted to some mental ward where he has a solid roof over his head, three square meals a day and a nice cushy bed. I'm pretty sure that's the deal that that Jared guy got who did the shooting last year in Arizona and shot Jan Brewer and some other inoccent folks.

Our system is screwed IMO. They should take that SOB out, tie him to a wall and let the victims family's have at him. It would he a win win deal, the victims family's could feel a sense of payback and save the taxpayers some money!

Let the victims family's tourture his ass, and cause a slow slow death! Like I said above, you don't need scum like this still breathing causing tax payers money.

Re: batman shooting. crazy

I agree we both know it but it would be so sweet if the family's could have the final say, not just this case but others as well.

All we can do is sit back and voice our opinions but big brother knows what's best for us regarding nut jobs like this, it's sad but the truth now days. I don't wear a tinfoil hat but the anti gunners are soaking this situation up and demanding more gun control.... Bloomberg from NYC for example.

Being an avid shooter, hunter ect since I was little and now that I'm older and carry everyday this kinda stuff gets me fired up, I'll get off my soapbox now.

Re: batman shooting. crazy

In all seriousness, what is the opinion of public hangings?

This was obviously a tragic and sick event. My thoughts and prayers surely go to the families impacted by this.

I'm with the guy who says "The cops should have shot him on site", "Shots were fired in our direction" could have easily been written in the report.
