Anyone else lovin life?
![]() Life is goooooood. Love my job, For the most part I deliver rental and new machines and do on road service calls for warranty repair and rental repair. I work for Crafco which makes pavement crack sealers(hot tar kettles if you will) and patchers as a service tech. Not alot goes wrong on the machines but it's usually just the same shit, and they have Beckett burners like the ones in house furnaces. I get paid a little more than when I was doing billboards out in 20 degree 40mph windy shit weather, and the benefits and overtime kick ass. No stress, no worries for once....sure I have no money half the time and alot of bills but fvck it. I have alot of seat time in the work truck, over 20,000 miles since June 15th. For an 08 F350 it's gonna be over 100k by the end of the month, hell I've driven almost 2000 miles this week I think. I have everything I need in life, great wife, pain in the ass daughter and dog, and plenty of toys. No house yet, which hopefully in a few years I'll be taking over my parents mortgage and paying on this house, but I figured I'd get everything else out of the way first. So anyone else not hate their life? I was depressed as shit with my old job, I'm just glad I don't have to put up with that shit anymore, regardless if I make good money or not. Re: Anyone else lovin life?
Word to the others, I'm thankful to be alive as well and sorry poor zap. On a side note, I just paid my NYC no seatbelt ticket and I've had an ingrown toenail for 2 months that's been killing me because I don't have time to get to the doctor. I've been married almost 3 months and I still get laid....holy ****kkkk. I give it a year or so and I'll be screwed haha. I also wish I didn't buy a streetbike, $345/month is alot for something I don't really ride...poor decision haha. I'm also gaining weight like crazy since I drive alot, I think I've gained 20lbs since I started driving at work, time to get off my ass and get to the gym. Oh and someone buy my damn mustang or trade me a nice MK4 Jetta/GTI for it. Last edited by primerdnoma : 11-07-2009 at 01:11 AM. |

It's nice to see that other people are still enjoying life too. I've got nothing to complain about and almost always go to bed with a smile on my face.

Re: Anyone else lovin life?
I almost made a thread like this one not too very long ago, but opted not to because there were so many others posting threads about how they were losing their jobs and such. But since you asked.....
Hell yes I'm loving life right now! I live in my own personal paradise, I have a kick ass job that pays me quite well and have no debt aside from my vehicle. Could it all end tomorrow? Absolutely. But right now, the future is looking bright and I have managed to shed all the baggage that dragged me down for so long. It's great to be me right now. ![]() |

Re: Anyone else lovin life?
Well, right now I'm picking up the pieces from having a somewhat shitty 2009. I got separated from my wife, ended up getting stuck with over $7K in credit card debt, a mortgage that was 60% of my paycheck after taxes, my beloved trans am got stolen
So throughout the year I've been improving myself, I finally bought size 36 pants after about 7 years of wearing a 42, bought a Typhoon, put my ass back in college, I got relocated to another store where things are going in the right track, my little sister is my new room mate and she pays half of everything and a week ago I found out my mortgage is getting restructured and my payments went down almost $200! A saying a good friend of mine told me is, "When you feel like you've hit rock bottom, the only way to go is up" So I'm losing weight, I have my bachelor pad, I'm back in college to finish my BA in ME, I have the truck of my dreams, throw in a **** buddy or two. Money is really tight, but I'm happy! Oh and I'm filing for divorce as soon as I get my income tax! Good thing the ex is willing to pay for half Last edited by s10blaza1 : 11-07-2009 at 01:48 AM. |

Re: Anyone else lovin life?
I gotta say that this year has been absolutely hectic as hell between starting a new job, planning a wedding and looking for my first house, but been really enjoyable. The new job is a lot of work and stressful at times, but I really like it and know that it will lead to greater things later. We've had some really awesome surprises including having pretty much our whole wedding being paid by my gfs parents and being given a lump sum of money towards a house that is to be paid back at our convenience. I've never taken hands out before but I gotta say it is a nice feeling. There is really nothing negative going on at all. Got my health, a clear mind and I'm financially secure. Things are good.

Re: Anyone else lovin life?
i'm pretty happy that i woke up this morning, that both my head and feet are above ground, and that diet dr. pepper tastes alot like regular dr. pepper. . .however, job situation sucks, i'm starting to wear out my savings, i wake up with old man joint pains, and this chick i've been talking to the past couple weeks is seeming more and more like she is probably a lesbian. . .not that i care alot that she's a lesbian, i wasn't actively seeking a guest appearance in her pants, but it would have been fun if the occasional night out turned into the occasional "what the hell we're we thinking" morning. . .so overall, my life is a whole lot of blah with a scattering of meh throughout it right now. . .
speaking of lovin life, college football starts up in a half hour and i've got a couple of free beers waiting for me at the pub. . .so i'll be thinking a little more highly of life in under an hour Last edited by rmoore911 : 11-07-2009 at 12:32 PM. |

Re: Anyone else lovin life?
lately ive been bored as hell...
beginning of the year statred about as usuall, turned 21 in feb, got alot better, got an internship that i absolutely loved (was in chicago area, got to drive and go to places where id never be allowed otherwise) staying with my grandma who lives up there was also pretty cool. but then june 26th (my moms birthday, and the day she got outa the hospital after having knee replacement) my dad was pronounced terminal with kidney cancer that returned after tryign chemo and all sorts of drugs for a year. previous year was clean because the year before that they found a tumor on the kidney and removed the entire kidney all was well till it regrew last year. the doctors didnt really know how long. well the last day of my internship im drivin home, i get a frantic call from my mom saying dad has stopped breathing and just collapsed and thier taking him to the hopsital. (im still an hour away mind you, i have that bad feeling this is it.) well it was, he passed on june 29th... about a week before he passed we celebrated his 60th birthday. i will never forget that horrible night. speeding home seeing all the neighbors cars and cars ive never seen just kinda frantically parked in our driveway, yard, accross the street then having to drive another 20 minutes to the hospital... june 30th was a banquet for all the interns (state sponsered internship) that my dad really wanted me and him to go to. so even tho it was just the day after me and my uncle (his brother) went... it was hard but i had to. then 2 weeks after that my senior year of college started, was pretty hectic for awhile but now its boring as shit and nothing to do. if anyone has had a similar situation like me about loosing a parent when your young (i never imagined loosing one when im only 21...i was expecitn to be like 30-40 years old...) i dunno if you can pm me... its hard trying to type this now... so yea my year 2009 has been a bad roller coaster. on a good note my moms knee replacement went extremely well and is walking around great now with no cane/crutches/walker. Re: Anyone else lovin life?
in january 2009 i turned 21 was on EI and everything was fine. then in july EI ran out had no money bank account was going into the minus's, handed out an assload resume's with no luck, damn, somewhere in here my uncle died and i was about a hair width from being kicked outta my parents house with no where to go but the ditch on the side of the road, applied for income assistance (welfare) got accepted, handed out some more resume's still no luck, october 2nd mom had her ovaries removed. so now im helping her out paying rent to my parents and barely paying for my ranger which i still owe 3600 bucks on.
im working on getting into a "wage subsidy" program in a small engine shop so hopefully i can start working soon. so ya life sucks!!!!! |

nice house that gets better every month now that i'm finishing some of my major projects. my engine is gettin closer to being done. my old lady is laid back and puts up with all my shit and still has my work clothes laid out for me in the morning. the company is paying for my colorado, and my christmas bonus will probably hit 8-10,000 this year which will be the highest i've gotten. and the house will be paid off long before i turn 40. so i'm lovin it right now |

Re: Anyone else lovin life?
much time spent training her daniel-son
it's great though, she keeps the house clean, clothes washed, kitchen cleaned up, washes the sheets 2 or 3 times a week, gives the dog a bath, and even pays some bills. all i really hafta do is make sure the big bills are kept up, yardwork, work on the big projects at the house and keep goin to work. |

Hammer
how are you doin' man? I can't wait till ECBN either...good times and lots o' beer.Shawn responsibility may be a bitch but it looks like you're really getting yourself out there with the metal fab shit and seems like you like what you're doing. I too would like to own my own business but it won't be for a few more years. My plan is to get an ext. cab Cummins with a gooseneck trailer and start my own hauling business, and on some trips take my wife and daughter with me. See you at ECBN right? And Ryan wth, you're 17 man and still a kid, you're not supposed to be that stressed out yet. |
