If someone is already planning a trip that I could just tag a long that would be sweet..I only have 1 duffel bag a couple small boxes of truck parts, 2 small tool boxes and some loose clothes on hangars...not much..

someone PLEASE help me out...I have too much stuff to take the bus, and shipping my stuff is out of the question, as everything is way too heavy..I pay well

Re: anybody driving from northern nevada to southern cali??

no..i was visiting my dad up here, and was supposed to leave like 2 months ago, but the tranny in the blazer went out...then the other blazer spun a bearing....so instead of spending the money to fix them, I sold them and am going to register my 85 that is in riverside, and drive it...

plus my aunt karen died last week, and my grampa took it really hard. Im his favorite grandson and I feel that I should be there for him since he is already in poor health

Out of all his kids/grandkids/great grandkids, Im the only one that calls to say hi, I wash his cars, fix all of his cars, do yard work for him, patch the roof every winter...I even gutted his motorhome and patched the roof, and remodeled it.

My grampa raised me, took care of me when I was too young to, and now Im returning the favor. He even trusts me more then his OWN son. I literally would do anything for my grampa. If I could give him one of my lungs to replace his lungs that are in end stage emphezema, I wouldn't hesitate to do it...

enough rambling I need to concetrate on getting to cali haha....it just sucks to have to wait when you know what you have to do...

Re: anybody driving from northern nevada to southern cali??

yeah I could, but the cost of the rental plus gas to move a duffel bag a couple of tool boxes a couple small boxes of truck parts for my 63 d100 and a little bit of clothes is more then just tagging along someone who is already headed down there...then i can pitch in for gas, splitting the cost in half for me and the person going down there....just trying to help someone who is going to help me.....plus Im not rich..if I were I would have fixed either the 93 or 85 and driven it down there myself...

Wish you would have posted this a week ago. I've been on vacation since October 17. I'd have been happy to take a road trip, as I've been bored off my ass this whole past week.

I have a guy that works for me that walked from somewhere in nevada to Sanfrancisco a few years back. Said it took him over a month and he got about 30 miles a day.

Re: anybody driving from northern nevada to southern cali??

well, i think it's time to look into renting a minivan or a truck . . .if you sold both vehicles, you've got enough cash to get a one way rental and gas, and still should have some money left over. . .you said you had too much stuff to take the bus, so if a bus ticket wasn't too much, neither is a car or truck rental

If I was still going to head out that way I'd definitely pick ya up man but I'm not anymore. My next suggestion was going to be to rent a car. Shouldn't take but less than a day to get there and they'd only charge you for a day or so. Won't be too much money ... I'd look into that.

No one is up there right now. If this was during the actual season, that might be a good idea.

Yeah, I vividly remember you making that VERY clear to me before.

Hey, at least I leave when I visit SoCal. Some people visit and never leave.

probably your best option. . .when i was in school my freshman year i had to bum a couple rides back home with people on my floor that i didn't know all that well. . .it kinda sucks riding even an hour in a car with a stranger, i don't think i'd want a prolonged road trip with a stranger. . .
