Re: alldata

From what I remember AllData uses a hardware key, so while you could potentially copy the discs it won't work without the hardware key connected to the pc.

I could be wrong, it's been a while since I've dealt with Alldata

I was gonna say for the repair data all your need is a user name and password. I have it at my shop and can log in anywhere that has internet access. Now, the shop manager program they have called Service Center you need a usb key to use.

The shop manager program is for making invoices, vehicle service history, and inventory. Alldatapro.com is the web address you need if you have a login and password for the repair info.

edit...from alldatapro.com click the "I am a member" link, then it will prompt you to put in your login name and then the password.

We have the web based version for the repair info and no usb key is needed for it. We need the key to access the shop manager part but I use alldata all the time from different locations. Im not sure about the cd/dvd versions of the repair info, they may require the usb key. I think they are mainly for the shops that cant get or dont have high speed internet access.

And yes Alldatapro is very costly to have and run month to month for updates!

Re: alldata

GL cracking alldata...There is tons of cracks for the older stuff but the one you want with the TSB's and all the new updated stuff is net only and secured pretty good. Ive seen Alldata work on pirated copys but they are always fawked up somehow...

But AllData FTW I loved that shit when I was a tech.

Alldata is 82-current and I do believe we pay just under $200 a month for the repair info and their Service Center Program(shop manager program). Ive never worked in a dealership but Ive used alldata and mitchell, I prefer alldata. There tech support was also awesome, I actually talked to someone in the states. Can u believe that sh*t!!!
