Copied this off the net. It is also found in the new Truckin' mag.
A Message from Joe Morrow It is hard to believe that 22 years have passed since we ran our first full page ad in Truckin magazine. My customers with Hottops and Ratical tops were the average age of 20yrs and now they are middle aged men in their forties spending big dollars on their Hotrods. I brought mail order to the Truckin group when the majority of mailorder came from Sears, Summit, and JC Whitney. It has been a love/hate relationship bringing products DIRECT to the consumer without going thru the recognized distribution channels where everyone has their hand out, taking their piece of the pie. I have made a lot of friends, and more than my share of adversaries because of my pricing tactics. My prices made Mini Truckin and Truckin lifestyles affordable, expanding the market to what it is today. On the other hand, old school dealers were upset at the pricing and fought us by spreading the word that the product must be inferior and cheap, or else it could not sell that low. Young men with nothing else to do, jumped on the forums and spread the word. Most of the scuttle on the internet is posted by young people that have never met me, but only jumped on the bandwagon because they nothing to do all day but post absurdities on the internet. A basic marketing premise: Doesn’t matter what they say, as long as they are talking about you! Think about it. After all of their nonsense, we are still the biggest out there. You just have to know that the big guy is always the target. It comes with the territory. The Internet is an absolutely GREAT thing, but lets keep it in perspective, and do the math. FACT: We ship over 500 packages a day. We try to do everything possible, but mistakes happen. If we have a 1% mistake ratio, then that means that 5 customers had a customer service issue, and we resolve all issues quickly. Email me and see. In fact, email me on any issue no matter how old it is. You will get a positive response, guaranteed. FACT: Our competitors do not even ship 50 packages a day and this means if they had a 1% mistake ratio, only 1 customer every other day would have a customer service issue. So, you might say we have 100 customer service issues a month, while our competitor, (any of them) have a mere 10 customer service issues. The Internet is not very forgiving, because that means that we generate 10 times the potential forum discussions of our nearest competitor. Everyone knows that bad news travels at the speed of light. Look at it another way: This means we have 9,900 happy customers every month, while our competitors have 990 happy customers. But we all know that happy customers rarely spread the news..... When I began advertising in the Truck Magazines, I was 45 years old. Now I am a happy 67 years old, and I spend my time doing what I want, and monitoring customer service issues. It is not possible to please everyone, but believe me, I do the best I possibly can. This message to all our customers, and to those that buy into the forum chatter is to let you know I have been here the last 22 years, and I will continue to monitor my emails and take phone calls from unhappy customers that I intend to make happy. Most of you know Matt Petro of Gauge Magazine. If you don’t, you can email him at matt@gaugemagzine.com Matt is a recognized young Guru, that has become the spokesman for thousands of young people. Matt will tell you like it is. Matt is an objective individual and is a straight shooter. Remember.... There are 3 sides to every story. Their side, your side, and then there is the truth. I strive with everything I have to be on the side of truth and what is right. Try me.............. Oh, and one more thing, you can bet they will be talking about this ad forever. I simply cannot lose. AIM, AIRBAGIT.COM, CHASSISTECH, STREETRIDEPRO.COM Our adversaries say: “Why so many companies? AIM is the flagship, Airbagit.com specializes in Air Suspension around the world. Streetridepro.com specializes in the Hotrod market, while Chassis Tech is the wholesale area of the company. Why are our prices less than most? It is because we have 33 CNC machines, on 3 1/2 acres, with over 125,000 sq feet under roof, all dedicated to making suspension parts. For those of you that attend the annual SEMA show in Las Vegas, I will not be hosting a booth this year. It simply is too much money. Money that I prefer to spend on printed ads and maintaining the lowest possible prices for our customers.. My personal email is: joe@chassistech.com Don’t you hate it when you do not get a timely response to email or none at all? Try me on. I am waiting....I monitor emails to see you get a proper reply I will take on all issues, both good and bad. I will do everything I can to please you, past, present and future. If you do not want to resolve any real, or imagined issue, then go on the forums and do your thing... You would be the person that simply cannot be pleased and just wants to bash, and intelligent people can see right through you. In fact, they will want to contact me to move closer to the truth. I simply cannot lose. Be comfortable that we have been in the same business at the same location for over 20 years. We simply could not be here if our customers were not happy... It is as simple as that. And, I promise to beat anyones advertised price by 10%, give you a better product, and ship it right away. Thank you, Joe Morrow RATICAL TOPS When Air Suspension does not work right, it hurts the entire Air Suspension Business I do not care what company, or where you bought your Air Suspension. If you are having any type of problem with it , I will solve it for you. I have set up a $5,000 per month reserve which will be spent to solve any problem you come up with, no matter where you bought it. Any problem, Any Company... BRING IT ON... Contact me now! |

Re: AIM has good products because Joe says so! LOL
Honestly, I've never done buisness with them, and don't intend on doing so. Why would I ?.... he said it himself. They have A LOT of customers, which means it's hard for them to focuss on just one person/problem. I'd rather give my buisness to a smaller company, with a smaller clientele, but that's just me.

Re: AIM has good products because Joe says so! LOL
Now remember we are just young men with nothing better to do than to talk trash about trash.
Funny how he must be getting worried about how the rep of his companies is going into the crapper with bad business practices and products that he takes the time out of his busy day to have somebody (i'm sure he didn't) write something that long. I say if it walks like a duck and talks like a duck..... |

Re: AIM has good products because Joe says so! LOL
fock that, when we start buying parts for our trucks from the walmart of the parts aftermarket, the quality goes way down, we have more posts in hacked rides(which is fine by me) and person to person troubleshooting goes out the window. id rather pay 10% more for someones experience, and a piece that has been redesigned due to flaws, and etc than a piece of shit that they dont have time to figure out because all they care about is volume sales.

Re: AIM has good products because Joe says so! LOL
ya i saw this in MT this month and i thought it was a joke
all i gotta say is, companies like SD or AVS dont have to put up these full page text ads in magazines trying to back up up their products and customer service, reason being they just dont need to do it, thye have good reputations, they can use their full page adds to show us more products |

Re: AIM has good products because Joe says so! LOL
The thing that scares me most about this is, they probably do send out 500 packages a day. And do you know who buys that garbage? The people that read those magazines thinking that AIM 3-link will hit insane sides and be super easy to install. And those people probably don't know about S10Forum or any other means of communication with the people (us) who know how shitty of a product AIM sells.

Re: AIM has good products because Joe says so! LOL
Turned out the kid lies about how much he pays for everything and well just about everything else. If he would have told me he gave $300 for the entire "bolt on" kit then I'd shewed him away and told him to come back with something that works. I complained about one set of mirrors that I bought, the convex was too convexy and they were suppose to send me a new passengers side. I got a Truzarossa mirror, I called them and they sent me two SS mirrors. STRAIGHT TO EBAY. Turns out all their mirrors have a little more convex to them, it just takes a little getting use to. |

I just wish that SD would put some ads in a Truckin' mag. Most stores don't carry the MT magazine, and with AIM all over Truckin', they get more business. I have a strong passionate hate against AIM and FBI

Re: AIM has good products because Joe says so! LOL
Our Wal-Mart carries MT and I live in a county full of Christians that all they can do is bitch about stuff they shouldn't have their noses in. They got alcohol banned from our Wal-Mart, they won't even sell martini glasses.
But AIM has to be bringing in a lot of money to have a magazine within a magazine and it looks like Joe even has his own editorial now. Last edited by ZQ8 Blazer : 07-26-2008 at 11:05 PM. |

Re: AIM has good products because Joe says so! LOL
back before a good many of these companies existed, like 15 years ago, I bought 2 valves from AIM, which i had to get a rebuild kit for like 3 mths later, they wouldnt warranty, and a 3/4 horse compressor, the plastic fan thing was so close to the guard the first time i put power to it it shredded to peices, they wouldnt warranty. I am honestly surprised they are still around.

one thing he said that i agree with is that the people that had good service usually dont come on a website and talk all about it, but the people that had bad experiences will.
funny though how there are so many people here that always talking about how awesome SD is and you never hear a SINGLE thing good about aim. |

hell yeah do. I wonder if he's ever been sued by one of his products failing and causing someone to wreck.
There's a guy on one of the fullsize forums that had an AIM 4/6 drop and the new bracket that holds the axle in place on his flip kit broke. Sure he said he was giving it hell, but shit. |

Drove by AIM two days ago and all I could say was how sad the building looked. It was obvious that sales had dropped pretty low because there weren't the usual crowd of vehicles there. It was like at 2pm. Not one single minitruck there or anything customized for that matter. It's going to be a glorious day when they final see their demise. Suck it easy Joe.

Well then that's probably why he printed this ad, to try and get some business back. BTW all the mini trucks that used to be at their facility are probably in a shop somewhere getting fixed.
If they do go out of business then Truckin' will probably go out of business too from loss of advertising funds. |
