Re: 1990 Ninja

I have an '87 Ninja 600 behind my shed. Your bike's wheels and forks reminded me of it. I bought it to put the motor on my golf cart, but decided I wanted a reverse gear. Not sure what I'm gonna do with it. I have a souped-up Yerf Dog frame sitting around...

Re: 1990 Ninja

i think my forks are shot... well, the seals anyway, there is no real force behind them other than the springs in the tubes lol, and my little adjuster guy doesnt work so i can stiffen it up with that...

Re: 1990 Ninja

got the gauge mostly installed today, i still need to connect the temp gauge, and replace and wire my fuel level sender, also i couldnt figure out a way to wire in a neutral light... so ill mess with that another time, my phone died at the end of the night to so i only managed to take 3 kinda blah pics... ill try and get more tmro

this was just a quick mock up to see how things would fit together

my broken level sender and a metal ring that has been rolling around in my tank since i got it... man that was annoying

and this is where i relocated my ignition switch to

Re: 1990 Ninja

gauges and light look excellent.

Its tough to tell from the pics, but the tubes dont look scored, and they dont look like they have any residue on them, your seals are most likely ok

Re: 1990 Ninja

so i wired up my park light tonight, went and got a relay because both my park light in the gauge and my neutral light switch on the bike were ground circuits, so i ran batt+ to pin 30 and connected the park light in the gauge to pin 87, then i ran a wire that is only hot with the ignition on to pin 85 and connected my neutral switch to pin 86, works great!

Re: 1990 Ninja

went to ups to see how much it would cost to send my headlight back... ill just say it was too much and if this ebay seller doesnt want a bad rating he either needs to just send me a replacement or send me some dough to cover shipping...

Re: 1990 Ninja

it arrived broken and i would prefer a headlight and front signals that dont point the wrong way or fall down inside the housing
