ive looked at DK and they might have one kit for me... not sure but the catalog lists it for 87-89 but as far as i can tell the 89 and 90 carbs are the same, i dont have aftermarket exhaust but i do have individual filters on the carbs, i believe i need a stage 3 kit, ill check out parts unlimited
StirFrey, for the Zx7's, use Factory Pro only. FP fo not require the drilling of emulsion tubes.
i loved my 7r, best bike I ever owned... mine was a p. I forget if yours is a h or a J.
Also, you need to signup at redmonkey.com/7r. Google search Zx7 owners club. the forum is based in Britain, but is full of some of the most knowledgeable 7r gurus there are. From WSB mwechanics to factory guys to racers.
good. Understand in advance that FP kits are a pain in the ass to set up correctly. It actually isnt FP's fault, it is Kawi and their lack of good carb design. But dynojet and ivans kits are horrendous on zx7's.
You will also want to do the floatbowl mod to your bike as well. PM me if you need any help...

I survived my accident... have some permanent shoulder and back damage, but it is what it is.
As for the bike... I sold it to my best friend for $1. It was trashed, but the neck didnt move, and the motor was okay- it fell on the frame sliders and slid for a while. Folded the forks into the radiator-radiator into header. Tailsection was a total loss- broke the subframe, bent the subframe mounts....
He has rebuilt it now and done some really cool shit to it:

stage 3 kit did the trick, i only used the main needles out of it so far and made a slight adjustment but its SOOOOOO much better, runs great, not perfect, but close enough to it that i brought it home finally
i need a new gas tank cap... any ideas where to find one?
oh and what about a coolant reservoir? i wanna ditch the ugly stock one and get a more compact one i can keep down on the frame or something... i want to try and move everything away from the forks, and maybe move the coolant cap or whatever... that aluminum part, to somewhere less obvious, and i want to maybe move the gauge cluster to on the forks by the bars so i can move the headlight up and back..
i was curious about those rubber things lol, i wasnt sure they would hold up but i guess they wouldnt be selling them all over the place if they didnt work haha im trying to keep the price low but i dont want to buy garbage, if i do get a fighter headlight thing i kinda want it to use an H4 bulb so i can put an HID in it

what you could (and should) do is jump on ebay and buy a radial master cylinder off of a zx6 or 10 or gixxer... or really any modern sport bike. Use the newer style master, makes a huge difference. then you can always change out levers if you want
finally replaced my front tire last week, its sooooo much nicer, i feel a little better about getting into turns now, and when i take one of my hands off the bars it doesnt give me the death wobble anymore lol
i was kinda surprised by the quality to be honest, i thought it was gonna be cheap flimsy plastic but its actually really solid feeling, the only thing im upset about is the top of it is all scuffed up... hopefully my headlight will cover it up
