okay so what do people think of the diamond plate? i wanna sink it flush into the console and use it to hold down my shift boot. should i change it for something else or use it

im not quite sure how i feel about it, are you going to add any more to other places in the interior or is that going to be the only spot?

not sure yet! i had a switch plate in the upper hole but i shaved that.

the switches will be mounted just below the arm rest there will be 6 switches and one push button for the air horn. i might put the diamond plate back in there and just flush it the same way to have more diamond plate in there. i may do the floors with diamond plate to but who knows the shit is hella pricey

i think it will look alright after its all shiny!!! i am also going to put the origanal switch plate back in the upper half and flush that in as well.

i try i was hard getting into the truck scene never had anyone to show me the "ropes" i learned everything by doing i have wanted to build a truck like this for 12 years and its finally comin together so to speak

yeah man, you gotta learn somewhere, I built Muscle Cars with my old man since I was 13 so I had that going but as soon as I hit 16 it was up to me to work on my truck and what not.

i like the idea of flush mounting and i think it will look nice once everything is painted up. I think it would be cool if you followed the diamond plate right up to where the old piece used to be. Kind of hard to explain but follow the contours of the console and go right to the old piece

im not sure yet i wanna do purple but i may do the shifter boot in that purple crushed velvet shit! maybe silver the dah will be purple and the bezel will be silver so i dunno

the upper piece will hold all of my switches for the bags! im only doing 5 switches. there will be a 6th switch for my compressors.
