yeah, its pretty easy, i talked to Taylor who used to work at BLF and he said the hardest part about making them is finding the thick metal. The uppers are 1/2 steel, lowers are 3/4 inch steel.

Time to clean them and paint them. Do a search on here for "Naptime". He shot his flat plates with spraypaint and they turned out nice.

I actualy thought about doin that, but i didn't wana steal your idea!

I was thinking white, but man those woudl get really dirty fast. Plus i was thinking abotu trying to do a whole scheme in the engine bay, white deff wouldn't look good on motor parts after a couple days on the road

Also thought red since thats the color the truck is gettin painted

Silver always looks good. If you want to really show them off go with something as bright as possible because once everything's back together there's not a lot of light in there. You'll just have to clean them off every once in a while.

Re: <>Time Consumption<>

UPDATES FOOLS!!!

Got more work done tonight. Spent abotu 3.5 hours out there! Heres what we got done.

Ross got the control arms primed/painted. They look 1000000 times cooler in person. Hes so fckn GOOFY!!

Then he started doin my steering shaft:

Finally got the pieces done!

I don't think there moving:

Then tacked them together:

Lookin over ross's right sholder:

Me upside down:

Lookin down at ross:

More ross:

So yeah, we did about 10 tacks and went to setup the rails inside the frame for a visual, and we realized we welded the new pieces on BACKWARDS!!!!! So the cut was on the outside and not on the inside. So we ground the tacks off and then called it a night.

Were gona try to get out there atleast every wed. of the week to sorta help up get through the long ass school week. Im gona work on it a lil tomorrow maybe, but i gotta work at 6, same with friday. Sat. im gona work on it almost all day, work a lil more on sunday(taking a break to go sleding with some buds), then also on monday cause we got school off! Man thats a lot of work.

Plan is to have ross pretty much do the stuff i hate doin, painting! Apparently he loves doin it and hes good at it, ill keep my mind on the chassis stuff.

Planing on getting the new frame sitting inside the old by monday, maybe the old one even cut off. But after that were rebuilding the 2.2, yeah i know its a slug, but its getting driven a lot this summer.

I would of actually liked the holes, kinda breaks up the arm instead of it being a flat plate. But then ya can see the metalic some more!
