Re: <>Time Consumption<>

Not too much progress around here. Had to put a lot of stuff away for the winter.

Speaking of winter

I hope to get my fame fully blasted by the end of this week and get it into the garage to start hackin away at it.

I have started to think about my rear setup. I started to draw some scale sketches of what i was thinking of doing:

Used to race in the junior dragster class at a local track. 3x champion.

This summer i went to Fank Hawley's racing school and got my license to drive a super comp dragster. Was doin around 160 mph in about 8.5 seconds i think

Re: <>Time Consumption<>

Finally got my frame back from the sandblaster. Also had my arms done while i was at it. Now I am just waiting for my SD shipment to get here and i should be able to start on getting the front to lay flat.

Im gona paint the sand blasted part of the frame first though. Thinking on just going with some rustolium products since it will be more or less a daily driver rather than a show truck.

Ya. Lifting the frame was tough with 2 people, the ice didn't help either

Now we got heat and its a nice 50 degrees in there.

I like all the stuff tucked under the bed. Also then i can still put stuff in there.

I have seen that guys project thread, the only thing i don't like about his setup is that he ran his upper bar tabs on the underside of the axle. Doesn't seem like the geometery would be correct with them on the bottom.

Nice. For a minute I was trying to figure out what was in the container in the last pic. Then I noticed it was lunch related, not air-ride related.

I'm not sure if you've looked into fittings yet but when you do, check out www.AirRideFittings.com. It's run by a couple Oaktown members and has some of the best deals on Parker fittings and hose.

Thanks. There not perfect. But they deff. do help with the miter cuts and setting up the suspension.

since the thread got bumped i guess ill upload some pics of what i got done in a couple hours last night. Still gotta do some minor cleaning up of the cuts. Should be able to knock most of it out tomorrow and start tacking it up!

71* Cuts

What it will endup loocking like

Still need to take out the high spot

Im cutting these all with a hack saw. Sounds dumb but actually makes for less cleanup work on the cut. Also need to chamfer the edges still.
