Here are the comments from the other boards

We found out what the wires in the heads are for, they're to minimize corrosion of the aluminum, seems they act to keep the reaction from dissimiliar metals to a minimum, in other words they kinda act like baking soda soda in battery acid , a catalyst to keep corrosion off the aluminum. Don't know the PHD way to explain it, but bottom line they're supposed to be in there.

Galvanic Corrosion. Requires two dissimiliar metals (such as aluminum and iron) and an electrolyte (coolant). One element will corrode, saving the other. Think in terms of zinc dipped steel sheet- the zinc sacrifices itself to save the steel

Re: Syborg Twin Turbo

Good Afternoon,

I'm a little late getting this e-mail out.

Kenny is really kicking butt on the body mods. He is making sure everything fits perfect.

Hard to tell from this picture but you can see Kenny has widen the rear cover to have a 3/16" gap.

Tailgate has been smoothed.

You can also see the side of the gate has also been filled.

Cab is ready for Primer. The cab has been widened 3/16" to line up with the bed sides.

Yep, The bed has been extensively work to make sure t fits perfectly with the cab.

Next week the truck should look a little different as it will all be one color.

Question Re: Syborg Twin Turbo

Looking good. Was the entire cab cut down the middle and widened 3/16" or just the sides of the cab? By the looks of the body filler on the sides I would think the latter of the two.

The block i started with is a Hi Perf Bowtie block. It has 4 bolt mains and is much stronger then the stock block. Depending on your horsepower goals you can use a stock block and stock crank.

shoot me an e-mail and i'll give you the complete specs on the motor.

Re: Syborg Twin Turbo

Hi All,

Kenny is really cranking on the Bodywork.

Looking down the side of the truck

You can see that Kenny has fitted the cladding with the fender.
There used to be a 1/2" gap

Just a quick shot with the Side Cladding on the Truck.

Hard to tell but it's straight all the way down the side.
The bed is no longer wider then the truck.

One of the most important things I've noticed this week is the fact that
Kenny may have actually used the Tripod.
