Ya Tommy body drop it so you can tear the shit out of your freshly painted rockers instead of smacking the frame...smdh.

Re: >>SLAB: Slow Low And Bangin

Who said anything about body dropping? I would never.

I just find the cavalier intake manifold more visually appealing

Re: >>SLAB: Slow Low And Bangin

Yeah lol, I'm about 1/4-1/2 inch from tucking wheel in the front, a body drop wouldn't be practical with my static drop.

Re: >>SLAB: Slow Low And Bangin

I surely wouldn't say impractical as long as you narrowed the front suspension to allow you to turn. Would be sick as **** to body drop it but leave the frame 1/2" or so lower then the body.

Re: >>SLAB: Slow Low And Bangin

Cavi intake should look pretty good in there. Definitely cleans up the engine bay quite a bit. Looks like the only trouble is getting a new air intake and a new throttle cable.

If you're interested in selling your K&N intake since you won't be using it, let me know!

Re: >>SLAB: Slow Low And Bangin

I bought this 99 two tone 4 cyl 5 speed ext cab parts truck yesterday for cheap, no pics of it whole because I immediately tire into it and less than a day later I have the engine and trans out. I now own 3 99 2.2L s series engines lol what a feeling!

I bought this truck mostly for the trans, I want a spare nv1500 because my current trans has a groove in it, it's kissed the ground a couple times :/ so a spare is good to have.

Engine ran very quiet, good throttle response, fired right up, all fluids good, good spare to have. Same for trans, all in working order.

While I had the engine hoist laying around, I put my other spare 2.2 (if you're following the thread, earlier this year I yanked it at a local yard) on an engine stand

Looks like the s10 will stay 2.2 for a while considering I'm hoarder now! Lol

PARTING OUT THE WHITE EXT CAB, ANY ONE NEED PARTS?

Re: >>SLAB: Slow Low And Bangin

My boy was over tonight telling me about the nicest dime he's ever seen at H2o. I knew who it was when he begun to mention bbs's haha. Then...he showed a pic of the "incident". My heart hit the floor for a second. As for the O.C. pd....shits weak. That officer needs to man up and take responsibility for what he did. Judging by my boys photo, there had to of been many witnesses to back you up. Touch base on vortex, build an army and win your case. Be easy man and good luck!

Instagram. Word is ocpd flew up the bus lane with no lights on (After dark) brushed his front corner. Clearly the officers fault. We all know slab wouldn't be driving that sweet ass buggy recklessly....

Re: >>SLAB: Slow Low And Bangin

Thanks for all the support fellas, man word travels fast! I apoligize for not updating this thread more often, I've been quite busy.

Let's go in chronological order I suppose...

I removed almost the whole interior and painted the charcoal parts satin black. I was given a Grip Royal Mohagany steering wheel for my birthday and didn't want to install it on faded charcoal interior.

I then cleaned it all up and had a blast at fieldwerks

I especially like this photo because if you zoom in, you'll see it's laying frame in the rear at the leaf hanger lol

which lead to a pierced tank

I replaced the tank with a replacement from BrutalityIsLaw. I took his tanke from his blue ballz 98 and double plated the front third of it with 22 GA so it'll theoreticaly be 3 times as strong as stock.

Somewhere along the lines I made it into Performance VW Magazine lol

Then I got her all cleaned up for my trip to Ocean City, MD for h2o, and that's where I got sideswiped by a Chevy Tahoe Police cruiser.

I took this pic when I got there

12 hours later is when I got sideswiped. As mentioned earlier, I was in the right lane and wanted to turn into my friend's condo. I looked and saw some headlights behind me in the bus lane, but they were far back. Driving in the bus lane is not permitted so I knew the vehicle would either turn into the parking lot or enter a lane of travel. With my signal on, I moved into the bus lane to put myself in position to turn right into the condo parking lot. Apparently the car I saw before I switched lanes was a speeding cop, with no lights or sirens on, who hit my right front with his left front. He knocked off my street scene mirror, scratched the door, dented the fender, and bent the bumper/ valance down. I was able to duct tape my mirror back on and make it home. The fender edge was touching my tire, I had to bend it back to drive.

Valance kept falling off because I was dragging it everywhere, so I threw it in the bed

I didn't let my dented truck prevent me from snapping a pic with Joey's juiced s truck as I drove by

You guys have seen all the work I've done on this truck over the years, I obviously know my way around a body shop and I'll have this fixed up in no time. I have already got my bumper, bracket, and valance in, I'm waiting on the mirror to come in, and with some elbow grease I'll fix that fender too. I would normally replace the fender, but with a wheel tub welded to the inside and the whole thing trimmed to fit, I'll take less time actually fixing it than I would replacing it.
