Re: >>SLAB: Slow Low And Bangin

Oh and by the way, I removed the fenders and cowl trim to finish prepping the cab. Whole truck will be repainted excluding the firewall, I'll do the firewall when I remove the engine this winter.

The cab and doors will be painted tomorrow!

I thought about the calipers too, but i didnt think he would be that obvious, specially cuse you said that u weren't gonna tell that color, i figure the caliper was gonna be somewhat close but i knew that wasn't it.... cuse u know people paint caliper red on black and white car's, i so i figure the caliper was something close but at the same time clearly different, maybe something like BURGUNDY CHERRY CANDY PEARL PLASMA kind like thingy mabober....

Hey Tommy you should run this bumper. shave your truck, put a roll pan under a ford bumper, Run your exhaust like diesel stacks, shave your gas filler door cause who needs to pump gas, make it a T top, and swap in a vw bus engine cause my great uncle hubert did it back in kansas city. Do it now cause I ****IN said so even though its your truck.

Re: >>SLAB: Slow Low And Bangin

I see you removed the "drip rails" or cab seam covers, I know they are held on with 3M adhesive tape. Did you bend or break those pieces removing them?

If not, what's the best way to remove them?

I'd like to do all of the following work when we spray mine. I don't have time for junk that isn't done right

I ruined the drip moldings removing them, they're metal and appear to have been installed using some type of adhesive or seam sealer, it seems too thick to be tape... I ordered new ones from GM, $65 a side

Re: >>SLAB: Slow Low And Bangin

I figured they'd get ruined removing them, i saw they were off and wondered..

EVERY time i see someone take them off, they always bend and distort to the point of being uselesss.

Guess thats the price you pay when doing something the right way!

Spray booth unfortunately was occupied so I did more prepping, hood, gate, both bumpers completely sanded edge to edge and ready for paint.
