Serenity

I just bought a 2003 S10 extended cab on 20s with bags. It has tubs front and back, Strong Arms tubular control arms, 4 bar rear supsension with 2 foward and 2 back and a pan hard bar, bag on bar rear bag set up, 2 Viair 480 pumps, 10 allon air tank, 9 switch box, shocks on rear, shaved driverside door, fiberglass bed cover, and billet grill.
I have things I want to do to her. Redo the air set up, Slam Specialties, bags (ss7 front and rear), 35" X 35" slidin ragtop sunroof, sound system, Boss 338 20s & 18s, ditch the 9 switch box and put 2 toggle switches in, billet steerin wheel, bucket seats and center console, flush mount bed cover, and roll pan. There may be more but my brain is flooded.

Re: Serenity

again great looking starter truck, but im curious to know why did you start a new thread? and imo, i think it would look better with 20's on all for corners

All I want is front and back controls. I use to run 9 switches back whn I ran hydraulics in the 90s.

Thumbs up Re: Serenity

I have finaly got pretty good look at my front end. With the truck layin down as far as I can, I found my tie rods and tie rod ends are right against the bottom of the frame. Guess it is time for some LSoH S10 no-toe steering system.

Re: Serenity

found out why one of my Viair compressors wasnt working. Bad wiring to the pump. EZ fix. Plan on moving the tank and pumps to the front of the bed and the fuses and relays will be in an enclosure between the pumps.

Re: Serenity

the guy I got the truck form told me it had 50/50 4 bar rear uspension with a panhard bar. I finally looked under the back and it DOES NOT have a pan hard bar. It has a wish bone connected to a differential bracket.

Re: Serenity

is it a 5 link? 4 bars plus the wish bone. You have bag on bar behind the rear axle right?

Re: Serenity

looks like it may be a Thorbeck Bros. 5 link. I have to replace the bushings on rear end of the front link bars.

Re: Serenity

Well finally got the energy to do a little work. I helped my fiance empty the bed of the fuel cell and air tank and air pumps. Soon to be relayed out and replumb the air set up. It seems the kid who built the truck hacked the air ride set up so he could get out and drag as soon as possible. Plus the feul lines were put in to high in the feul cell, so I will be geting a new one.

Re: Serenity

I have all my new fittings for the air lines and air line water stops. All I have left to get for the air ride set up is 1/2" check valves and Slam Specialtied SS7 & SS8 bags

Re: Serenity

not to bad of a deal. Gauge-store.com has SMC 1/2" check valves for $15.40 each. My brain injury isnt allowing me to do the math easy but I think it is $62.60 for 4 valve.

Re: Serenity

i was thinking bout this truck last night. Trying to wrap my head around why the previous owner put the fuel in the back of the bed when you can totally layout the rear of an s10 with the SD 5 link and stock tank. Unless he was drag happy and just being safe
Still if you wanted to clean up the bed you could always get another stock tank and two straps and youve got everything bolted in there already to keep the tank off the ground you just need to drill the bolt holes for the front strap higher to raise the front of the tank

took a few hours today and cleaned up the rear of the frame of air ride plumbing, batteries, and electrical wiring. Brought the 8 valves in the house so I can clean them and lube them.
