Re: S10wannabee's truck project

truck works,.. it goes up and down

i had to change te fuelpump, when we tried it last night it didn't worked, it seized.. so it was back out with the old pump and in with the new..

truck started right up.. so i could finally test the York.

damn, that's a difference!!

the tank is now filled within a minute! instead of 15 minutes with the viair..

gonna make some changes already,.. i'm gonna replace the pressure switch with a adjustable 1.. so i can lower the maximum tankpressure,. with 160psi it rises incredibly fast...

Man That's awesome! Love the Truck and the Wheels! I about freaked out when I saw the brand as well! LOL! Glad You got a smoking Deal on them!

Are You running Drop spindles? If not, that may get you the additional drop up front that You need, along with a little cutting and modifying of the uppers.

Re: S10wannabee's truck project

thanks man,

and dropped spindle's are not option..

when i first bought it i asked for a shipping quote for a set of these,..

when they arrive @ my doorstep, a set would cost me around 600 dollars,.. shipping and taxes included...

so, i dont think so..

in a few weeks im going on a short holiday to Florida,. by then SD will have a set of control arms ready for me that will go home with me in my suitcase.., save myself some shipping, and i will get the drop i need..,

and the new wheels are smaller in diameter then these, so i will get there.

and i spoke a friend of mine, he has some smaller tires for me for the original wheels, so i can put the stock wheels on for the winter and still lay it out...

My bad man! I totally forgot about shipping! That's gotta suck, they aren't light! But how much do the Control arms weigh? domestic Airlines are getting stupid with their charges now for luggage.

a complete set should weigh around 50lbs, but i can take 2 suitcases with me, so thats 25lbs in each suitcase.. and im allowed 50lbs per suitcase, so well below the limit,.. which means more room for other stuff..

Re: S10wannabee's truck project

no hassle at all, they ask if you have something to declare, if you say no, they make the choice if they search you or not.. got lucky so far

and we got some more work done..

made a rollpan with licenseplate holder, only i forgot the camera.. , welded it in..

and started the work on the "toolbox"

here's the backpanel..

its nice to have a beadroller..

and i made some pictures of it outside.

That's awesome! LOL! Where will the tool box be located? Near the front of the bed or the rear? Are You going to hide the Air management stuff in there?

I've always wondered how life would be living in Europe. I wouldn't think much different, but I'd like to do it in my lifetime. Oh and nice truck. I like the color a lot.
