Re: [ProjecT] WhitE SheeP

the wheels are coming.....as for the 'surprise' notsomuch lol

long story short i am a dips**t hahahah

i pmed lee-mill thinking he had a set of zq8 rims which i thought were on his truck and he said he still had them but the clear was peeling...me, in need of tires, was psyched because i was already polishing one set of rims, so a different set wouldn't be bad and ill get new tires and be set... but anywayyyyyy i got there and they were a set of swirls and i felt like a dumbass hahahahaha but live and learn

im getting tires friday and need to finish the swirls.... oh well
if anyone is interested in a set of polished swirls lmk because i may go back and pick them up polish them and sell them

Re: [ProjecT] WhitE SheeP

looking forward to seeing the wheels on it.

For the led conversion on the dash can you sort of walk me through it? Can you just get reg Led lights and drop them in place? or do you have to mess with it a lot more then that?

I see a lot of it and was just wondering how difficult it is to do.

Re: [ProjecT] WhitE SheeP

the leds arent that hard, if youve ever changed a 194 bulb its the same idea, but the only thing you have to make sure you do is warm up the truck and take good note of where the needles are while the truck is in acc mode. other than that you just have to take the guages apart, but be careful to not break the clips, and take out the bulbs and replace. what we had to do was bend the "feeler" ends on the bulb to the outside to make the connection, then reassemble and your done.

buy the 5 bulb leds that spread light in all direction as it leaves no dead spots and throws the light better (check the how-to) umm i think thats it, lmk if you have anymore ??s

Re: [ProjecT] WhitE SheeP

thanks, and i just sanded for 4 hours bent over so im pretty dead, but 2 rims are pretty much polished and the other 2 have been stripped of clear to start, but my hands burn from the stripper cuz after a while even the heaviest gloves dont do SH!T and i feel like a 90 year old with arthritis but im liking how theyre coming out, id put up pics but you guys dont really want to see undone rims since the gray is going to be painted a darker gunmetal and i dont care what they look like now it really takes away from the effect of the rims

but soon ye shall have pics so i dont wanna hear about it

Re: [ProjecT] WhitE SheeP

polishing left me with a lot of time to think, and i think i figured out why i have never seen a set of polished swirls....well to be honest its only a 15" rim...it doesn't even look that great....its 7 inches wide....and to try to get a decent tire for it is damn nearly impossible

im about to just reclear these

Re: [ProjecT] WhitE SheeP

Polish the swirls, get them done, then decide if u like them or not. If you dont, someone will and your time will pay off either way. The vette wheels are a no go if theyre orange, at least paint them first.

Re: [ProjecT] WhitE SheeP

if you wanna do a 5/7 drop. heres what it looks like on mine.
SpringTech drop spindles and 4inch block. and 2in. drop leaf springs.
i also have a 3in shackle lift, so it gives me some play room in the rear. to go from a 6-7-8 in drop in the rear. but giving me a 8inch drop will make me scrape the U-bolts....boo

Re: [ProjecT] WhitE SheeP

sprayin'- yea i dont think ill go much lower than what im at now, its my daily come rain snow sleet rain etc and i drive it yearround, plus id go belltech as with all my drop stuff, but cool idea with the shackles

and sember, if it was 4wd id lift it, and to be honest i want something lifted for winter cuz driving this in the winter blows....well at least driving in a straight line does lol

pics....eh soon enough, nothing to show right now, going to be doing a timing chain very soon, but for now its just keeping it clean, maintained and driving it for the most part, updates will come soon enough tho
