Re: [ProjecT] WhitE SheeP

there is nothing wrong with cutting a coil as lon as its done properly and not with a torch or cutting the whole damn spring in half to get a drop out of it.

I got my exhaust professionally fixed, so it doesnt hit the axel anymore, and now you dont see it at all (what I was going for in the first place)

painted handles are now on, fresh tune up with delco plugs/coil/msd wires/new cap rotor by accel anddd.....new delphi fuel pump....yea theyre fun when they go

going to start body work on tailgate soon, and wheels are hopefully in the near future

Re: [ProjecT] WhitE SheeP

the handles i got off a 94-97 s10 because theyre smooth handles, sanded down the little bit of texture in the middle, primed them and when my truck got painted i gave them to him to paint, but if you do it, take them apart and take all the rubber bumpers off and the lock cylinder out- but to take it to a shop prolly 50-100, the handles i scored for free but you can get them for 10-20 at a yard prolly

Re: [ProjecT] WhitE SheeP

its a pieced together set- leafs were $200, coils were $100 (make sure you specify 4cyl or 6 cly), blocks and driveshaft alignment kit were another $100, front shocks were $90, rears were $70 and I already had spindles but they would be $150 or so, I also needed shackles since mine were toast and they were $90, and when all said and done an alignment for $60 soo

so $860....holy crap i never noticed i spent that much lol

Re: [ProjecT] WhitE SheeP

small, unexpected update

ive been workin on interior pieces slowly, but my upper intake manifold gasket went on meso a friend and i spent the day tearin it apart, its all apart right now and to my surprise, it looks immaculate inside for 104kmi, bearly any traces of sludge etc, i still have all the reciepts from the lady who owned it before me, and the oil was changed religiously, as it still is. But when i pulled the distributor, the gear was worn terribly on the bottom, almost to a knife edge. I had a code thrown for a cam/crank sensor correlation problem and am hoping this is it (as it most likely will be)

some pics tomm or monday, whenever i get around to putting them up

oh and my dad is trying to convince me to raise my truck to stock height

Re: [ProjecT] WhitE SheeP

thanks, and if you cant tell the swirls are back on due to the fact that the rear snow tires showed abnormal tire wear and had gone almost completely bald

but im looking into wheels and tires next- i can get a set of vette wagon wheels for fairly cheap but with the spacers, rear tires, and me wanting a set of black or gunmetal wheels, the paint or powdercoat brings the cost up quite a bit. I have 2 very nice 17s off the front of a vette with 95% tread on them that i scored for free! so im trying to go with a 17 of some sort. My other options were a set of soft 8s- which im leaning towards because i want to race some autocross this summer or biting the bullet and getting some 203s- particularly insanenomas

i also looked into some vette rally wheels but after pricing out the trim rings on top of some fat rubber, things were comparable to a set of 17s- and i just wanted a set to keep cost down

but what do you want im a broke college kid savin up his money and tryin to make an s10 a lil bit different than when it came off the assembly line

Re: [ProjecT] WhitE SheeP

small interior update:

finished up some little things in my interior to make it a little more user friendly-painted dash bezel again and door cups to match, put blue leds in the cluster, 12 leds along the back panel and installed some autozone led strips in place of the courtesy foot lights, along with recovering my one pillar pod in crushed velvet because i broke the last one

and some outside pics at night:

sorry the pics arent of the greatest quality, i was experimenting with the camera at night

BUT ANYWAY, currently the truck has the tranny out of it in my garage, the throwout bearing decided to detonate sunday night and i put a clutch and slave cylinder in it while i had it out, but you ask how that happened?

well the story my dad heard: coming home from my g/fs house it was making a loud screeching noise in first thru fourth but was fine with 5th gear, and it all happened coming up over the mountain

...what really happened: doing donuts and drifting in the rain sunday night killed it after dropping the clutch a few times to break loose lol i hate when my truck breaks but shell be back to normal again soon

Love what you have done with it so far. The drop is really nice, anymore and it would be impractical as a daily. Props for driving it in the winter too. I know a couple guys from kingston new york and I guess your winters are as bad as ours. Debadging it and taking off the white walls really clean up the look alot.

Re: [ProjecT] WhitE SheeP

thanks for the good words guys, and kybosh-arent you from kingston ontario? i saw it in a diff thread i thought and thought it was funny

but as it turned out my tranny is toasted pretty bad so ive been driving my dads truck until i can get a nice tranny which should be a week or two more and then throw it in it really sucks doing it in a garage with an uneven once paved garage with dips and dives everywhere (putting in concrete floors when this is done )

but anyone have a nv3500 or nv4500? and does anyone know if the nv4500 is a direct swap?

Re: [ProjecT] WhitE SheeP

stl drgn- i used 3m adhesive and it was like $20 but is worth every penny, ive used cheaper shit in the past and it was just that....shit as for wrapping, just take them down and make sure you glue the area to wrap around the back, as for the glovebox, my front will unbolt and a plastic piece goes on the back of it and i just used it as a retainer and it keeps it in there well- hard to explain but an easy concept

hoppy45- ive had it for well over a year now and i bought it thru grant/sd
