[ProjecT] WhitE SheeP

Hey guys and gals, im new to the forum, and this is going to be my project/progress thread, which will be slow I admit but anyway down to the specs: its a 2000 s10 4.3 5 speed 2wd with 86 kmi, so all the essentials are down. I bought it from a nice little old lady who took amazing care of it, never smoked in it, and she is the original owner!! another thing i was happy to hear was that she lived in FL when she bought it and recently moved to NY where she didnt need it anymore. Well after saving for nearly two years and waiting and waiting for the truck that was just right, i stumbled upon this deal and cold not pass it up, and as the pics can tell... the wait was well worth it.

ONTO THE FUN STUFF!!

whats done:
-2/2 drop using spindles/blocks
-debadged everything
-polished bowtie (not pictured yet)
-silverstar ultra headlights (I work at advanced auto and had a gift card haha)
-smoothed out dash panel painted white
-turned those whitewall shoes inside out
-has factory hopshock
-12 disc cd changer
-air intake

whats to come:
-3/4 drop with JTR blocks, shims and driveshaft realignment kit, belltech drop leafs and front spring, monroe max airs and monroe sensatrac shocks for the front (most is in and will be dropped by the weekend I hope)
-rear roll pan and shave the tailgate handle(have both waiting on $$ for bodywork)
-clear corners
-paintmatched grill and smooth door handles (have the door handles already)
-possibly ss mirrors
-id love eagle 203s in 17s or zq8's or xtreme's wrapped in bfg gforce t/a's
-belltech front/rear sways
-some more smoothed out int pieces and some leds in the dash
-tonneau
-magnaflow exhaust
-pcm tune or just go and get a superchips idk

ONTO THE PICS:

first got her

quickly debadged and moved those whitewalls

btw my bro has a 98 zr2

me with my eyes closed haha

dropped 2/2

some cool pics:

one last note "White Sheep" is a story, im the only one with a 2wd lowered anything in my family, so im kinda ike the black sheep of the family, but the truck being white, white sheep just seemed fitting lol lemme know what you think!!

well the drop is coming soon, im just waitin on some gas to torch off the hangers cuz theyre lookin rough and while im in there im replacing them btw that reminds me, is there any easy way to replace the bushings in the frame???? Ive been busy with work lately and weekends with sidejobs n such, but I'm hoping before school is back to have it dropped, thanks for the words too guys

couple little updates, I covered some interior pieces with crushed velvet and have an 8 ball shifter knob, pics sometime soon

Re: [ProjecT] WhitE SheeP

looks good i like what you have planned so far and lsx swap that'd be awesome! i like the name to it didn't really make much since then you filled in the story behind it very fitting. all i can tell you about the LSX swap is start buyin parts now and don't touch your truck till you got everything you can possibly think of and another G or 2 lol learn from my mistakes

Looks like a good start...looks like the pass side rocker is bent up. you fixin that along with the rest of the bodywork you're going to be doing? mine is bent up a little further back and i've just been ignoring it for about 6 months.

Re: [ProjecT] WhitE SheeP

The last pic before the drop

Heres the front apart, stock spring in, swaybar off, shocks out

heres the comparison to stock springs (1")

One of the safer ways to put a coil spring in

...yea cutting a shock out of the drivers side....lol wear a mask!!!!

the back before we started

comparison with stock springs...i checked and apparently i have z85s?? lol

all the new stuff put in:

andd some done pics....now it sits a lil nosehigh but i know that they are seated correctly and i heard them pop in along with checking to make sure they were in the lil humps...so im hoping that theyll settle in a lil bit

and some int pics, ill get better ones later, but my 8 ball shifter and my crushed velvet on the pillars and glovebox and soon to be back ...piece? lol

well thats it for now, I have a set of hid fogs going on soon, and maybe start my paint/bodywork but ive decided that this spring its going to be repainted pearl white...

lemme know your thoughts/opinions and ill get better done pics when i clean her up

Re: [ProjecT] WhitE SheeP

Nice man!

I have the 2in Dropped spindles and the 3 in blocks in the back, I think mine was a Z85 as well, but I have leaves out of a friends truck in there now, (long story), mine is a bit nose high as well.

I dig the shifter!

Re: [ProjecT] WhitE SheeP

Probably the JTR pinion correction blocks. They're CNC Aluminum and work fine for the applictation, actually better than the usual cast blocks without the pinion correction.
