[Project]: Vented Floor.

Hey guys,

Ive owned my 93 Sonoma for about 6 months, lowered it the first day I bought it, about a week later bought some new shoes for it, since then Ive done a few little things, but this winter is time for surgery. The floor is rotted out on the drivers side, hence the project name, and Ill be swapping in a 350 sbc with a 5 speed manual transmission. Depending on how long that takes hopefully will be bagging and someday body dropping it. Anyways, this is what I started with this afternoon, dropped 5/6, running, driving and generally all there.

I removed the grille before the pics, just a stock chrome grille anyways:

Anyways, thanks for looking, comments are welcome regardless of positive or negative, and the motor should be out by friday night.

Re: [Project]: Vented Floor.

Actually, its a dark green, haha.

I get asked all the time if my black/blue/brown/grey truck is hard to keep clean. Id drives me nuts. I think next summer Ill get some license plates that say "itsgreen"

Ill grab some pics of the floor tomorrow night.

Re: [Project]: Vented Floor.

Tore most of the rest of the truck apart tonight, heres what I get to work with

Started as this:

And then I really wanted to see the beauty of the beast, so I ripped and tore at it for a while and ended up with this :

And sadly, this was my floor/kickpanel and firewall for all of summer 08. I would love to meet the guy that did this to his, now my, truck.

Re: [Project]: Vented Floor.

just cut it all out, stock floor body drop it, and build all new body mounts and floor from scratch...and firewall...and back cab wall...now that would be fun!...

Re: [Project]: Vented Floor.

Some updated pictures, motor is out, picked up my 4 link from a local guy, and made my fuel door filler plate. It would be welded in but TSC is full of incompetent employees who have no ****ing clue how to open a frozen lock to get me a new damn tanks.

Pictures will be up tonight with bed off and most of the 4 link installed, have to wait til my axle tabs get here to do the lowers

Forget the floor, and get straight to baggin that..
tub the front for 22's, and take out your AC, you wont' need it cuz of the floor.
