you can do just the front alot cheaper..

you can get the c5 z06 caliper kit with semi metallic pads which comes with the brade pad clips n stuff and non drilled/slotted rotors 500+shipping. and then run your factory lines. then just get the brackets to mount up to your spindles.

what i bought for that price was:

C5 Z06 Caliper Kit
Hawk Ceramic Pads for Vette
SP Performance Drilled/Slotted Rotors for Vette
Hawk Ceramic Pads for Blazer
SP Performace Pads for Blazer
5 Stainless Steel Braided Brake lines with banjo bolts, crush washers, all that jazz
Then the paint, anti rattle clips for vette pads, fluid, brake cleaner.
and the brackets for the c5 calipers to blazer spindles were free. so youd have to factor that into your price as well.

When you run bigger wheels it should be your first modification. But looks good, did you keep your abs?

thanks man, and yes i kept the abs. we had a hell of a time bleeding the rear brakes for some reason. i could pump up the pedal as much as i wanted and nothing would come out the rear calipers. so we rigged up my master cylinder cap to put an air fitting and shot a low psi of air into it, and they got fluid to them finally.

would you recommend getting rid of the abs with the upgraded brakes?

They are stock s-series brakes, they are dangerous from the factory. But you could do the ls brake upgrade with 12" rotors which fills out a 16 inch wheel nicely.

As for the abs, do you have the abs sensors set up with the new brakes? If not then it is pointless anyway. Also a different setup but sy/ty's stop better(in ideal conditions) and have better holding force on launch, with ABS deleted. I delete it off everything I own. With exception to the daily under warranty.

And you being in Texas vs. Minnesota/ North Dakota I would assume you see less icy roads. Just remember to pump your brakes.

Re: [Project] UP? or downż

on new blazers the senson for abs is in the hub, not on the back of the rotor like older dimes and pickups, so everything for the abs to function stays stock

looks damn good, night shots look cool too

i didnt know i had to set something up for the bigger brakes?? all you need to delete it is the little distribution block thing off a 1st gen right? if i did that then wouldnt the abs light on my cluster stay on?

fav. pic i took today..

Re: [Project] UP? or downż

I kinda like the black valance. You should photoshop the hood on so we can get a better idea.

you should paint the bowtie black, I think that would look good.

Re: [Project] UP? or downż

Airdam will flake off, you MAY be able to get away with an interior dye since it's plastic, but you have to do A LOT of prep work since armor all soaks into plastic.

I don't really like cowl hoods altough I used to own one, makes the vehicle not look as low.

Bowtie gloss black or body color
