i could have done that, but the tray i made before was shitty, plus i left the shed door open the night before last and it got soaked when it rained. i think the 3/4" mdf turned into 1.5" mdf

Re: [Project] UP? or downż

got my connector to run my bass knob through box and be eaisly disconnected. i bought the end connectors and luckily guy at my work had just enough wire and the crimping tool to do this.. i thought it was a harder process putting on the connectors lol..

got my amp tray made and started putting it in..

yes i meant to leave it up a little. i like the look of it.

Re: [Project] UP? or downż

nice man... are you gonna have a quick disconnet setup for the power cables and rcas? that would be pretty cool if the whole thing was easy to pull out. also i think it would look damn sweet if you could color match the ends of the amp to the truck. also maybe make some lil corner pieces for the ends of the amp.

yes the power, ground, rca's, remote wire, bass knob wire will all be quick disconnect. i dont remove the box alot, but when i will have to. it will make it super easy. also easy to steal.. but i dont go alot of places i cant keep an eye on it. plus i got an alarm so im not super worried about it.

and paint matching the amp covers is a good idea. ill see about doing that. id like to buy a little bit of the pewter paint and spray them and my door cups. we got paint guns.

and instead of doing the inset part of the box in black vinyl, me and my buddy were talking about it, and think a tan vinyl would look better with the tan carpet. cause i dont have any black on the truck.

thanks everyone else, i cant wait to get it back in and done!

and i already got started. got the truck in the air and the wheels off. came in to let it cool down a little before tearing into it.

and i finally got a fix it ticket for my window tint. it metered 4% im surprised it took this long to get caught. he didnt notice my tint strip was to dark along with its past the line. im gonna go ahead and remove it too while im at it. then setup an appointment to get it redone.

Hell, ever since MDF came out, that's all I got. Boat-loads and boat-loads of 1.00" and 0.75" for doing systems in my cars, friends cars and custom home audio/home theater loudspeaker and subwoofer builds. I'm sure over the years I've blown well over $5000-6000 on MDF alone, and that's on the low side!
