[Project] UP? or downż

Well, instead of posting little threads here and there of things I'm doing, i will start a thread. Not a whole lot will be happening in here, but every now and then ill update it. Currently I'm building a sub box for it. I got all the wood cut for it, just need to put it together. I will probably do that tomorrow. I've ordered my RCA cables, grommets, and connectors. They should be here Thursday, so this weekend i should have a system, again.

As for a little background on the blazer, I bought it intending to use it as a daily. Driving it stock while I did more work to the 1st gen. Then my dad decided he wanted the garage for his mustang so that left me no where to work on the truck, so i sold the 1st gen. Its in good hands, all bagged now. First i did a 5/6 drop on 20's on the blazer. I never had a lifted vehicle before, and I wanted one so i lifted the blazer 5". 2" body lift and 3" suspension on 32x11.50's.

I got a new 4x4 valance for it today, hopefully black will look fine on there.

Here's some pictures of it.

How i bought it:

5/6 on 20's:

Lifted:

A few miscellaneous pictures:

Heres what I'm working on now, I cleaned our shed out so i could work in there. It was full of so much stuff, we couldn't even walk in.

How do you think the black valance will look on the blazer?

sweet. i think the valance should look good... i bet it'll look better on the blazer than it does layin on the hood of the jeep

lifted trucks are not my thing at all, so personally i liked the look better on the 20's and lowered.... but. it does have a nice look to it on this big tires, and its your truck

one thing for sure though, that mud boggin looks awesome as hell !!!

I like it better lifted. It looks too tall on the 20s. That Ranger is sick, it needs a SAS though..

Did you get your plasma? I've been using the shit outta mine.

the ranger is only 2wd. its his daily, he's not very mechanically inclined so itll stay the way it is prolly. and yeah i got my plasma cutter, ive used it some just testin it out seein how it works. seems to be pretty bad ass. havnt had any real jobs for it yet.

Before:

During:

After:

Got the rest of the wood cut on my lunch break, now i just have to put the box together, seal it, then it will be ready. i am going to see how it sounds in the truck then after a little while i get it carpeted to match the interior.

Re: [Project] UP? or downż

apparently the wood isn't very square when you buy it. ill remember that next time.

ill smooth all the edges up n make it all flush, then route all the edges and the screw it together. right now its got little nails holding it all together. box is kinda heavy heh. not the most stylish box but i don't need anything special in there.

IO thought that valance was ok but after looking at it on, I think you need to have it painted for sure.

eh, i don't think it looks to bad. it kinda go's with the wheels and dark ass windows lol.. plus its already on, its not coming back off. don't know how long ill have the truck for anyways, so i don't want to sink a bunch more money into it.

if i was to get a ranger itd be a brand new one, and the reason i would get a new one is for the warranty so itd get 4/5 drop with mustang wheels 18x8 and 18x10's, just keep it clean and drive it.
