{Project} The Taz's Toy

Hello guys and gals. This is my 95 extended cab s10. This truck was given to me by my late grandfather so it means a lot to me. After alot of help from this forum and some part collecting this is my babygirl. Hope you enjoy!

When i first got her. Took out the 350

Front with the HID's

Sorry no pictures of the motor build. i need to find them.. lol But this is the new 355 block with a few coats of the most awesome color in the world.

Some of the goodies just resting on her for now

My uncut and ugly mug.. lol

Dehumped my lowers

I also have installed my notches

This is all for now hopefully more tomorrow..

Thanks guys. Those wheels are actually on mine and my stepdads 63 chevyII street car. They have actually been replaced by some powder coated 20" kmc novas that will be put on a little later. But the current plan is to get the 355 in, finish bagging the truck, and work out all the little bugs, start the interior, and put the sound system back in, shave the handles, tails, and antenna.. But when i come back off of the ship next year, its getting a new back half, a stepside bed with a raised 3" thick lexan floor, bodied, a g6 sunroof, envoy nose, and suicide doors. Lol

It started with a art universal 4 link. But its not gonna work the way i want to im gonna chop up some brackets and kinda go with a 5 link. I just snagged some re6's and some cups for a buck 20. So now im on the hunt for some 7's or 8's for the rear and a diff. bracket on the cheap. This is somewhat of you a budget build. So all good used bag parts that are needed i will gladly buy! !! Lol. Next year its getting a cantilever setup. 8 valves in which im definitely gonna need you guys in setting up.. lol. Tank size im not sure yet. Something that can hang with me playing with it all the time..lol

Re: {Project} The Taz's Toy

Update:
Thanks to rstadelmaier these lovely pieces were made so i put them on!!!!!!

Completely finished the control arms today

I also welded in the front bar axle bracket mounts 100%

Mounted the brackets and made some b.s brackets to try to test fit/align rear, but couldnt because my bushings arent here yet..

Laid it out just to get a look at everything. Its still about a 1/2 in from laying in the front. I think its sitting on my tie rods. Just ordered speedway uppers today. Should have them soon. Whats the best way to deal with my a/c box? Ive seen some different ones done but still not quite sure on how to make it all come together

Re: {Project} The Taz's Toy

Worked on the truck some today, i will post pictures monday when my bags get here. I ran into a small delima today though. So i have a couple of questions. 1) the a/c box how easy is it to modify? Or should i just get rid of it? 2) for those who have dehumped their lowers should i drill the hole so the bag is straight or should i make it so its slightly angled?

Re: {Project} The Taz's Toy

back before i bd'ed my truck all I had to do to clear the ac blower box with a 205/70/r15 was to cut a little out of the bottom underneath the blower and plate it with sheetmetal. As for dehumping the control arms you will be fine just drilling a hole and bolting the bag up right to the flat plate you welded in.

Re: {Project} The Taz's Toy

I have a question if anyone can answer it. Im about to order the avs digital gauge setup from newmatics.com and was wondering if i need to run dual port bags or will it fill through the sensors? I also have updates with pictures, and i will post pictures when i upload them tonight.

No you can put a tee inline of the airline with PTC fittings and put an adapter to the sender and it will read off the line....

Re: {Project} The Taz's Toy

Not much of a update. Ive been blowing money elsewhere like a total tard!! but im getting back on track like now.. lol

filled holes, primered the frame

Painted it flat black for now

took the control arms back out and painted them as well

I also acquired some dom's 2500!!! Hells yea!!!

I got a wild hair up my ass and started to modify my diff cover

I also found some pretty cool looking fabric and tried it out on my pillar this morning

I cleaned up one of my other money pits today and took her out on a small cruise. She still needs alot of work.
