thanks.. it was not a easy process trying to get the hood fully aligned, i drilled many holes i wish i didnt, but there now all patched up.. i orginialy wanted to do a side opening hood but i thought it was to much for me to do, as in i didnt have the experience to do it.. now im having second thoughts on it lol..

Re: Project: Suicidal
big update... decided the front is gonna be bagged.. just for now.. i finnally got the brake booster off and painted pretty much, and i started the grinding down and hopefully the last part of the bodywork on the cab.. and the reason i decided to go for bags was becasue the money its gonna cost to drop the front properly to the right height would be just as much pretty much as bagging it, and if i bag it i got height to play with over bumps and stuff.. so thats y..
![]() ![]() ![]() The truck right now.. ![]() ![]() ![]() The extra parts now from suspention ![]() The misc. body parts waiting much needed work.. ![]() And heres whats paying for my bags.. my beater.. ![]() |

Re: Project: Suicidal
a radius, you dont want sharp corners. sharp corners may be stress area and may crack in that corner. and radius is stronger no weak spots. i dont have any pics of mine but some one will have some.

Re: Project: Suicidal
well got the truck tog again to drive it till all the bags stuff arrives.. im just waitin for the bags themselves to be able to bag the front and they shoudl be here today.. but went out drivin and passes through a set of lights right after a 4 car pileup so traffic was backed up.. my driveshaft fell off.. im suprised it didnt acually come fully out considering i was doing 55... luckily my friends showed up and ran down to orileys and got me a spare u-joint for parts to continue on ..

Re: Project: Suicidal
alright.. lots done.. i finnaly have all my bag management for the front.. i got the bags completely installed in the front and ran the airline.. i havent had a chance to install the tank yet with valves.. so what i did was just hook the line up for the passenger side straight to where the tilt bed line goes.. which it all worked out good.. i only have 100psi in the tank for the video..

Re: Project: Suicidal
duno what size tire you wanna lay on.. but you shoulda tubbed firewall before you did that bodywork since youll be cuttin into it.. and that fender might not be high enough.. mine barely is for a 245/35/20...

Re: Project: Suicidal
damn man.. you are close lol.. but i dont plan on changin the rims anymore but if i did i wouldnt go any bigger then a 18".... i still have a bit of work to do on the cab by the firewall so ill probly just change it so its no big deal.. the reason the tubs are where there at is becasue i have a suicide hood.. so i had to make up so the hood hinge would close properly without touching, but then i also thought i could cut it out on the fender where it will be.. but ill find out..

![]() ![]() ![]() Also did some work on the hood and threw it on.. ![]() Bags fully aired up at around 175psi... ![]() ![]() ![]() Whats left of the ball.. ![]() and i started back up on the interior.. ![]() |

Re: Project: Suicidal
so i decided last night it was time to pull the motor.. more then once reason to this.. first of all theres getting to be some good leaks going on which i hate and i need to fix them, prob is with that there in spots that you cant get to or would be to hard.. secondly i need to finish painting the frame and it will be much easier with it out... and thirdly i can finish up the firewall and all... and maybe i could have a possible motor for this thing but thats just a possibilty.. everything is ready to come out, i got three bolts left and i cant get them cause i broke the socket thats the right size.. and also im waiting on a cherry picker.. but hopefully it will be out tom...

Re: Project: Suicidal
ENGINE IS OUT!! finally got it out today, a friend of mine lended me the cherry picker for the day which is awsome.. didnt make to big of a mess besides the tranny fluid.. the only problem i had was where the shifter is, i couldnt get it to clear outta the hole, so i had to unbolt the exhaust piping and then drop the engine more to get it to clear.. here it all is..

Re: Project: Suicidal
ya, i've been getting that alot about the battery.. well today i bought my motor.. its a 3.1L out of a camaro.. and before i get any crap about using another v6 i have my reason on this.. 350's are getting to be very common swaps for s-10's, this v6 can easily be turbo'ed and i found a forum thread on how to do this, part listing and all and it can be done for less then a thousand bucks.. also all my parts will swap over straight to this 3.1L.. by the way this whole motor has been fully re-built and the starter itself was on for no more then 10miles.. i could have bought the new trans to but i wanna stick with my 5 speed..but anyways heres the pics and my frame so far..

Everything is really starting to come together it's looking good! I just really think you should go back and rework the tilt bed. Not saying you didn't do a good job, it just seems like it could be nicer... But all in all it's looking great!
