Why the straps in front? Shouldn't they be in back?

Re: Project Solo....one you all know
it had straps in both front and rear, its best run pulled, 177whp with 299ft lbs of torque. i was kind of disappointed. but oh well its not a drag car. its a show truck. haha . its all dialed in now, she no longer burns your eyes out. Ive had a couple ppl tell me that the motor should have more power than that but , idk im not a motor guy.

Re: Project Solo....one you all know
It's a stock 350 with a big ass cam right? What did you expect? I bet you would get power back by putting the stock cam back in it or something smaller. By no means take that as an insult, you have a much nicer ride than mine but it helps to match parts instead of throwing in a "bad ass" cam. It ain't an LS where you can do "cam only" motors.

Re: Project Solo....one you all know
no offense taken, like i said i wasnt doing it to see the power i was doing it to have it dialed in, its always been rich since ive put it together. just thought itd put down more than that to the wheels. no worries though, im still happy with it. it sounds good, and its far from slow. so its cool

Re: Project Solo....one you all know
what he said^ ls motor the way to go. Sounds good tho, suprisingly low hp sounds like it has more balls than that. but i guess 300 ft tq makes up for it

Re: Project Solo....one you all know
So I just read through the entire thread from start to finish. Yeah all 28 pages. Took a few days between school work haha. This thing is friggin nasty man. Very amazing to see transformation from page 1 to now. Congratulations on the cover. Very much deserved. I am in love with the turbines man. Always have been and always will be my favorite wheel ever. Can't wait to see more on this. Love the flush front bumper idea. Should be clean as hell when painted.

Re: Project Solo....one you all know
The bumper would look way better if it stuck out further in the middle under the grille. I love how you're making it fit the GMC front though, definitely one of a kind.

But I still think it needs some black on those recessed parts of the wheels to break them up a little. |

Re: Project Solo....one you all know
well.. ive used a ton of difrferent shit..
now im only using dawn dish soap to was the wheel down with first then drying it. then mothers mag and aluminum polish with a glove on and scrubbing the wheel down. doing it in sections and applying it that way. then ill go back over it again with a cotton wheel deal i got from harbor freight in the end of my angle grinder. seems to be working pretty good. they still arent perfect but works for me |
