Re: [Project] Slow Motion...
Ebay for everything, the generic intakes are pretty much the same thing as the expensive ones.
TB spacer will make a sound and that's about it. How many miles are on it? Is it an auto or stick? I'd drop a 4.3 in it though. As said before DO NOT put an exhaust on it, at most put a turn down top on it. |

NO exhaust haha, already got a turndown tip on it with the cut pipes
this a good intake? so the spacer wont really do anything but make it sound better? Last edited by AJ : 08-19-2008 at 08:43 PM. |

Re: [Project] Slow Motion...
Really like the intake man. Seeing the truck in those pics makes it look a lot better for some reason IMO, I really love the two-tone, but still say shave the gate and paint the handles to match.
But before you do any of that tell your uncle to drive his car into a river. |

Re: [Project] Slow Motion...
Well around here people that drive Stangs, cruise around in 1st gear and act like a stock one w/ flowmasters are the fastest things in the world. We call mustangs "assholes" here, cause that's generally who owns one.
I've never worked on a Mustang, but I have on two other Fords, and my oh my they are the worst vehicles I've ever worked on. We had to get underneath the vehicle to add freon to the a/c system and the window motors do not run on gears, they use little cables with plastic pulleys, I've seen two fail on one car so far. oh and it'd be some work on your vehicle, but I'd paint the inside of the fenders and firewall either flat black or semigloss since it's not the same color as the exterior. That's what I did on my green truck, it was originally white too. |

Re: [Project] Slow Motion...
engine looks clean and the intake looks nice too. Matches well.
But what is that blue wire for? your stereo? I would put that in some black plastic covering... I forget what that stuff is called. The wire just sticks out too much. lol |

^Convoluted tubing
I just noticed that too, I'd just take it all out and run it from the drivers side to the passengers side under the dash then out through the firewall and under the computer. |

Re: [Project] Slow Motion...
Yeah, the blue wire is the power to my amp, I just ran it really quick and zip tied it outta the way. I'm gonna change it up when I get some time, maybe when I just get a new amp while I'm at it. I used that engine cleaning how to, turned out pretty good.

Re: [Project] Slow Motion...
Hucko chromes stuff
I've installed both aftermarket and GM carpets and ofcourse GM fits with no modifications. I've ran a bunch of different subs and I'll never buy anything buy an Audiobahn w/ aluminum cone. Good SQ and Bass. I also wouldn't run anything buy a Pioneer CD player. I have some 3 way Pioneer door speakers and love em. Paint door handles. |

Re: [Project] Slow Motion...
thanks man.
i found Hucko and Trucks_69, they chrome the vents and stuff for a pretty good price. where do i get the carpets? the gm or other aftermarket? I'm pretty much set with what I want for audio. Nothing special...but you'll see. |

Re: [Project] Slow Motion...
There was a guy on ebay selling new GM ones for $115, but that was last year. I mean an aftermarket isn't that hard, you've just got to trim them some.
S10whorehouse sells good used gm carpets on ebay. oh yeah if you get one that has some stains on it all you have to do is pressure wash it(I'd do that on a used one no matter what) and let it dry all day in the sun and it'll look like new. Last edited by ZQ8 Blazer : 09-03-2008 at 01:14 AM. |

yeah I'd just go to Wal-mart and get some 99 cent rattle can paint and paint the filter, the fumes from the paint should give your 2.2 some added HP too, see everyone wins
