ZQ8blazer has those in his truck, I forget where he got them. That site would be great if someone could help us. Shipping from Brazil is probably a kick in the nuts too.

Re: Project SINOMA
i have a new dilemma, i just hooked up my new JBLs in the dash, first of all the right side doesnt fit... that air duct is in the way, i think im gonna try and heat it up and see if i can push it down/bend it a bit so that the speaker fits, other suggestions?
my real problem is if i turn my volume above 15 with these hooked up the stereo shuts off... wtf? oh and they have little switches on them, its for selecting 0dB or -3dB, which do i want? |

Re: Project SINOMA
I'm not sure about the header. I'm kinda anti-header, it seems like I hear about more issues with them than good shit. Are the (+) (-) to the speakers hooked up right? no pinches wires? How far is the one off from sitting flush in the hole?

Re: Project SINOMA
the pos and neg are correct, at least i think they are, on the right the pos is light green and neg is dark green, on the left i have tan hooked up to pos and gray on neg i dont have any pinched wires, and the right side is about an inch to 1.5" from fitting... as far as the header, i need as much power as i can get, and with my current shitty set up developing a leak, i want to do it with good parts and do the WHOLE thing at once so i can be done with it

Re: Project SINOMA
IMO the factory manifold is already pretty damn header like in design but whatever wets your whistle. That blows about the speakers. You put a efan and CAI on this thing yet?

Re: Project SINOMA
haha, nope, all in due time, you know how big my list is, it will all get done eventually, im sick of sounding like a tractor tho so exhaust comes first, i think after that im going to try and hunt down my leather TA/Cameeeeeeeeeeeeero seats in addition to the new bed
edit: just went thru my list and was able to cross off 2 things that i forgot to take off, that made me happy |

Re: Project SINOMA
I went with a new factory style exhaust with a turn down before the rear axle. Cost me a whopping $144 bucks and it carries a lifetime warranty. Honestly I think you'll see a bigger performance gain from a efan and intake and they're quite a bit cheaper than the header. I can understand the cool factor and because racecar though.

I can also vouch for efans.. Best thing I ever did to my truck imo. CAI, somewhat but not nearly on the level as getting rid of that clutch fan.

Re: Project SINOMA
just ordered master and slave prebled kit from rock auto, im still having some issues with my speakers... its not as bad as day 1 but the stereo will still shut off on its own and then start back up again if i turn it up loud... and im not 100% sure its coming from the speakers, but i smell a kind of burning smell... and i think its when i have the stereo on but like i said, im not 100%...

Re: Project SINOMA
Could be the amps in the stereo are going bad. It would explain the unit turning itself off and back on, and the speaker static.. Beside that I'm really not sure what would cause your problems, unless maybe the speaker wires themselves are shorting someplace.

Re: Project SINOMA
Thing I've noticed about a lot of decks these days is, you can set the color they light up. On most, if not all, you can even set different colors for the screen and buttons individually.

Re: Project SINOMA
^see, that's what I'm afraid of. I don't mess with anything older then '96...
I know some of the older models have rubber hoses with fittings at the pump.Im pretty sure the tank lines from '96-early '00 are identical.only thing that changes is length be it reg cab,Xcab....I just started saving fuel lines recently so I dont have much of a selection yet

I used a 2 1/4 and it has held up fine, after making it really tight, I think the biggest PITA with this is the header to down pipe connection.

i was under the impression your down pipe was compressed and slid inside the cross over pipe. or is yours like mine and the cross over is expanded? did you use copper shit on it too? i was gonna seal it with that, along with the ball socket thingy

When I put it mine, the hardest part for me was getting the downpipe secured to the header itself, I used no sealing stuff.
