Well here it is. The new project.

1976 Chevy EL Camino 350/350

Picked this beauty up for $900 due to a trans issue.

A few goodies but still in the exploration stage of it. She has some cancer that looks bad, but is nothing unfixable. Will post more updates over the next few days as I get more pics/info

Oooohhh, that'll be a bit hard to find. Might have one pic. But the others are somewhere in the desktop I haven't touched in forever. Have to dig for them.

And yeah I love the Laguna front but that'll be a swap for another one. I need stacked headlights in my life right now haha

Found one!

This was my first one,

1977 EL Camino Classic

84 305 with camel hump heads, Holley double pumper and 950+cfm jets...

Because ******* motor building at its finest courtesy of some previous owner. Needless to say it ran like shit.

But it was my first car and I didn't care, bought it when I was 14 yes old. Sold it a few years later and regretted it ever since.

I plan to make this one as close to my old one as possible, except well, ya know, nicer lol

Oh and yes, to anyone who knows it, the thread title is in reference to a song

Daaammmnnn! Ya know, originally I meant Shalamar, but i forgot about Sinatra and how well that suits it too lol

Ok, the cat escaped the bag...
Nice grab.
What kind of cancer? Frame or body?
Man that is a full grown Camino. HEAVY metal....;)
I love those massive sofa seats. You can sleep in the damn thing - almost.
It's also good for GF heavy action... Ha.

I have an 83 GMC Caballero... DIESEL!

I guess I understand why you want to sell the Tofu rig.

The usual cancer on 4th gens. Quarters and floors. Everything else appears very solid.

It is indeed a heavy bastard, I think its close to 4k pounds iirc.

Yeah the seat is almost perfect except for one small tear, I wouldn't know about the abuse it can take since I stray away from the trashy lady folks that seem to overrun my area haha

You should donate me that Caballero! I will love it and pet it and name it George!

Not really wanting to sell the Tofu Taxi but, for many reasons, its not a logical choice at the moment. I'm sure I'll have another one, but I'll likely import one next time.

hell yea kris, this is more like it. looking forward to your updates.
Thank you sir! Still need to come up here one day or something

Never seen that but hell that looks good!

I wanna know how much of that car they actually "fixed" considering the lack of parts made for them haha

For some reason I like the outlandishly huge bumpers on these.

The only thing I might do is find the bumperettes for the front

That is true.

And not really. They make quarters, floor pans and bed floors.

That's about it.

Part of the reason I got rid of my first one.

Finding a roof panel it needed was a hassle in itself.

That's true, but its still no 68-72, can almost build one from scratch from parts in a catalog lol

The only issue I'm gonna have so far, is I have to find someone to rebuild the smugglers box floors. Otherwise the rest of the car look outstandingly solid

I haven't heard that band name in quite some time, hell of a throwback haha
