Project Rice Eater
Hey all,
Been a long time since I logged in. This is former project orangeyagladitaintbananna or some gay title like that... Lol. Well I changed place for my truck as it will be mostly street still, but the 305 is done out of the picture. I picked up a stock 350 and 700R-4 trans. I got all of the suspension done on the truck for now. Still need to buy some traction bars. Here are some updated pics.. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() And finally a father and son truck pic ![]()

Oh, btw, the caps and rings are not a reproduction, they are origonals from 1969.

Re: Project Rice Eater
Took the motor mounts off. I need a trans cross member, driveshaft with carrier bearing and a radiator for a 4.3L.

Re: Project Rice Eater
picked up my crossmember today... Need to sand blast and paint it now..
Oh, and another thing. Some of you guys(gals?) are probably reading this thread saying "his daddy must be hurting with 2 trucks.." Well my Dad is not paying for everything on this truck. We are going halfs till it gets road worthy. The only thing we didn't go halfs for was an emergancy break cable. He is also doing minimal work on it. He did put the new floors in and did do my back drum breaks. I did everything else. We all can agree that a kid appreciates something more if they buy stuff with their own earned money, and put their time and effort into it... ![]() Sorry for the little rant. |

Re: Project Rice Eater
Picked up my was to be 383 block, but the guy had some forged TRW pistons that was tooooooo good to pass up. So now its going to be a 355 with all forged internals, and going to spray the hell out of it.

Re: Project Rice Eater
Nice build, but isn't it cheating to start with a truck that already had a V8 in it? Just giving you a hard time. It's nice to have to have the support of parents on something like this but good to be doing your own stuff. Now go scare some Vtecs.

Re: Project Rice Eater
Thanks, doc said it's a reaction from gout, which I don't see how.... Oh well, lol. I'll live through it... Usually lasts about 2-5 days then I'll feel good for a good while... Long enough to get this truck done, and have some fun! LOL

Re: Project Rice Eater
Right now I am just running open shortys... I was given some flowmasters I am going to put on... I still need to figure out how I am going to run the exhaust.. Thankfully, in my county here in Ohio, don't gotta worry about E CHECK or any other inspections... lol

Re: Project Rice Eater
Isn't it Summit, Astubula, and Stark counties that have e check??? I am not sure. I have heard their supposed to start making every county have an e check.... God I hope not...lol

Re: Project Rice Eater
Me either, I used to live in Medina County and they had it. Supposedly the tobacco companies pay for it all as a result of some lawsuit. Anyhow, e-check is just bull.
