LOL well I do have the one in the drivers floorboard! I'm told within the next two weeks for sure. I'll be stoked to get them and get them back in! I've got one piece left for final wetsanding before giving it over to shannon for color. He officially has the envoy cover and I should have it back end of next week at the latest. then I can reassemble the front end...and take the hood off so he can respray that lol

Haha, well, technically there was, with the envoy cover going to paint, but no actual. update update. I spent a few hours going over the valve wiring and labeling everything so I can wire it into the switch plate though.

Re: Project: [relaxednoma]

LMAO! so the bumper cover is in primer, awaiting color. Grill shell and headlights are back on. pulled it out of the garage yesterday so I could work on stuff in the garage, which turned out to be putting my intermediate 2 drawer box in place with my roller and upper box (craftsman) and then started re-organizing tools, and started to do some more organizing and cleaning in the garage. Spent the majority of the last week stripping the landscaping of mulch/weeds etc in preperation of finishing that up in the coming weeks as well.

The seats are nearly done as I'm told. So once the cover is back on with new billet and fogs in it, then the interior pieces will go to paint. Mean time new checkvalves and seperators will go in place and I should be relatively good to go hold for a fresh oil change, checking all the tires and fluids of course.. getting antsy now.

Re: Project: [relaxednoma]

lol yeah it does, i was actually thrilled to see it with the grill and headlights on again. I did about 30 min of wetsanding on one of the interior pieces in between digging holes for new plants in the landscape for the wife.

Got another extension cord to run around to get power to the mini workshop I've created on one corner of the garage (well at the end of the workbench area) that will pull power to a power strip that will be mounted under a cabinet. Have a piece of think stainless being cut for the top of one of the cabinets (that acts as the end of the workbench) and one for the entire lenght of the "workbench". So I can finally mount my bench grinder/polisher (wes will be happy!) my drill press that i'm getting and my vice.

On a side note, i need to locate a good used carb, preferably in the 650 cfm range for the wifes 71 F100. I have the edelbrock intake for it (it's a 351w). I'll need to make a project thread for it eventually. It was her great grandfathers truck, her dad and him put a healthy 351 and C4 trans in it. But it's total grandpa mode. She wants it as a restomod (and yes she used that term lol). It'll keep all the little things he did, cab lights, bed rails etc, but be lowered 4 inches in front, 5 out back on 18x8 and 18x10's on a nice tire. Everything cleaned up, detailed etc.

So hopefully, this winter the bed will come off the F100, go to shannons for body work, the rest of the truck will be in storage. Then I can have the OTHER side of the garage for working on sonoma stuff, such as being able to take the truck apart, bed off, front end off etc. Just ramblings of a truck builder with never enough time.

Scotty, I have that 750cfm Edelbrock with electric choke sitting in the garage, doesn't have an hours run time on it... I'm sure we can work something out....

saweet! lol that should work! the sooner I can get the ford movable (minus the idea of pushing it in/out aka, so I can move it on my own. The sooner I can pull it out of the garage and work on stuff on that side for the day and then put it back in lol.

Re: Project: [relaxednoma]

So came home from work today, got the steering column pieces and the ashtray piece wetsanded for the final time. They are ready for paint now. Went to my buddies house that is painting the envoy cover, no dice, he was ready to prime it and a side job bumper & decklid, voila compressor motor took a shit (after being 4 months old)

smoove

headlights and grillshell back on.

Now I need to do 3 things:
- get seats and install
- wire switchplate
- put new billet grill and fogs in repainted envoy cover & install

Then I'll start on the spare set of door panels lol.

Re: Project: [relaxednoma]

I got mad and kicked it!

No it was from when I hit the lady after she stopped suddenly in rush/non rush/nobody in ****ing front of her in 2006 i think. It put a hole in that exact spot on the envoy cover. destroyed the first chrome grill shell w/billet i had. Took the billet out, put it in my old stock painted grill shell for the time being initially then. Drove the truck home (after the lady literally said she was fearful for her life because of how pissed I was to the cop). dropped the truck off to my buddy who did the shaving of the handles, hood squirters, and did all the bodywork paint initially on it. I didnt even take the cover off at that point, he could tell i was beyond irate and that i had a show, he fixed the cover that night, primed it the next day, resprayed it the following and cleared it. cut and buffed it a few days later, reinstalled the fogs and billet, put bumper cover back on, washed and cleaned the whole truck (I was working 65ish hours that whole month each week) and brought it to my house. never realized it was there until I took it off this last go around lol. going to replace it sometime.

billet coat hook you say? hmmmmm

lol. only somewhat. I've missed numerous local shows and such, and the enjoyment of just plain driving the thing, to the point that I'd almost wished I'd not even messed with the seats and waited. the bumper cover wasnt a "must" but as I want it to look good for this year, shannon basically said lets do it now, since my life will be owned by his 55 and yo jimmy (no homo) this winter.

troof ^

so the truck moved, as in I got to drive it around the street since I have seats! albeit they are stock blazer leather seats and the drivers side isnt technically in the best shape, but having seats > not having seats at the moment (aka i want to drive my truck).

lol somewhat. Once the bumper cover is back on with fresh billet and fogs back in and the truck is clean, THEN i'll be happ(ier).

but it was a good fawkin feeling to sit in it, in a seat and be comfortable. Hell I went back out after awhile when it was back in the garage and just sat in it, turned on the music and relaxed for a bit.

I've been known to sit in my truck in the garage and just watch the garage TV from time to time lol

Glad to hear you got to drive it though

Are the Blazer leather seats power and heated and all that good stuff? If so, are you hooking all those features up?

Re: Project: [relaxednoma]

lol thats awesome.

yeah, quick drive down the street and back.

I thought about hooking everything up, but since I know they wont be staying in the truck i'm just going to get them set where I want it and let it be.

It shouldnt be anymore than 2 weeks until i get my actual seats back...hopefully.
