Re: Project: [relaxednoma]

Thanks fellas.

Ya, the flames dont stand out as much as they could...yet...

they were done in january of this year along with finalizing the bed with the seam sealer and liner. The striping on the flames is in a gun-metal grey, which I basically just mixed black and silver HOK striping paint. But that has been buffed off. The striping is above the clear. soooo....the striping is being redone to match the nice nitrous bottle that doesnt get filled. It's painted pewter with a shot of HOK gold pearl, then silver flames, followed by a combo of orange/black flames. I had that striping done on the bottle a few years back. I was leary of striping the outside to match the bottle, but I think it'll make it pop and give it that look. Along with having the orange and black striping on the painted glove box cover/airbag cover as well.

And now....back to sanding.

This is the bottle being striped at Cavalcade of '04. Only the black is on there tho.

Re: Project: [relaxednoma]

Opinions needed!

In searching for wheels, I have come accross the following that I like:

These will either be 18's all around or an 18/19 combo. Rather then go with the standard big wheels, as much as I like that. The truck has been built, more towards my idea of a "muscle truck" as coined by a local hot rod guy....well minus the lame 4.3 lol.

Billet Specialties:

Re: Project: [relaxednoma]

wow thats a hard choice really i like all of them except the 2nd ones

1st = nice and clean with slight curves
3rd = nice and clean but yet breaks it up alittle with the center on each spoke usally i dont like that but it looks good i think
4th = much like the first but i like the straight lines alittle better

I think it's gonna come down to the 1st billet specialties wheel and the boyds honestly lol.

Ya, the painted bottle doesnt get filled. I'm afraid something would happen to it. I have a standard blue NOS bottle and a polished Zex. I'm a bottle baby. I've only sprayed the sonoma 3 times tho. None recently tho, as I re-moved everything when we put the new engine harness in. I dont know how my tuned ECU would react with the nitrous yet, and I havent driven it enough to chance it/enjoy it haha. Now my friends camaro, we spray that thing all the time, just for the fun of it. He has actually told me to go spray the shit outta it and try to blow it up. I didnt succeed.

lol yes, yes I am. I most def. will not order without you getting me a price, as I can guarantee you can beat whatever I can/could get. I'll def. owe ya one...or 2 or 3 haha.

and yes, small brakes suck ass. It's on the list. I have a set of calipers off my dad's 91 that are brand new, but I dont think they'll work, I wanted to polish or powder coat them and get some powerslots or just get differnet calipers all together. For the discs in the back, well I'm lost on that, havent even researched it lol
