Re: [Project] Parts Waiter
you should get experienced with the products before you offer advice on a side note..100ez is not hard to sand once properly heat set and cooled....but you must cut it open with 80 grit then finish sand it with 180 |

Re: [Project] Parts Waiter
its been about a month or so. if they'd get their shipping straightened out, it would have been about 3 weeks or so. if you do, def call justin at pacific wheel. wayyyyy cheaper than anyone else.
and toad, there is a way to tell someone they're wrong and not be a d!ck about it. i dont want this to be a flame thread. and thanks. the paint was a tough decision. i was screwing around with pinstriping tape and came up with that. then johnny took a picture, flipped it around, added it together and we came up with this. notice how it follows the bar on the grill. flow controls, yes. works pretty good. no goofy sound like the smcs or anything. the way its set there, it controls both fills and dumps. i do however have drilled out plugs in the dumps. pretty good speed on both. |

Re: [Project] Parts Waiter
its coming along slowy. got the fender wells out, turned the abs 90* and pointed it down, extended just about every wire that went to the fuse box to get it where i wanted it, moved the computer to under the battery tray. thank god i didnt have to extend any of those. still have to put it back together. started working on it around 10 yesterday, and quit this morning at like 10:30 so i could be at work at 12. so im tired as f*ck. and i still have more to do. helps when you have the right tools.

joes right, polyester, be it filler or primer (hell... even baby blue retirement pants) cannot be applied over fusor, it just doesnt bite to it well, i tested it once and it failed like i thought it would

Re: [Project] Parts Waiter
well enough of all the bullshit. is this one of adams threads? i dont think so. sorry adam. i really dont care who is right and who is wrong. i planned on using the fusor from the beginning, and thats what im going to finish with. its not that far off anyway. so, end of the fusor talk.
updates- good and not so good. got the fender wells out. extended tons of wires and got the fusebox mounted to the core support, abs turned 90* and down to the frame, mounted the computer to under the battery, changed the intake a bit, and drove it. . . for a little while atleast. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() and the wheels FINALLY showed up. they're freakin awesome. way more than i thought they would be. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() well, thats the good. the bad. . . drive down a side road, about 35 mph or so, and the rear wheel decides to come off. talk about scarey. i thought i blew a bag or something. the whole back comes out from behind me. if i was on the highway, i would of definatly wrecked. drug the link bar for about 50 feet or so. jacked the frame up, blocked it, then jacked the axle and managed to get 2 lugs on. the other 3 were mia. then i go and get studs, and theyre wrong. of course. the bedsides bent out pretty good. no kinks though, should be fine. we'll see. i tightened them up before i left, but apparently not tight enough. guess i lose. |
