Re: Project: Mulligan

what size tank is that? a guy told me he likes his smaller bottles better because they compress faster. If thats the case then why would you use a bigger tank?

The bolts and the mount are splined, so you can't put the factory bolts in going the opposite direction. One thing you can do is to drill out the splines on the upper control arm mount with a 1/2" drill bit. Then install a 1/2" Grade 8 bolt with the head facing the engine. I just got done doing this myself. The only problem is it'll be a little tougher to shim the arm when doing alignments. My arms don't use shims though, so it was a no-brainer.

5 gallon tank, it fills quicker than a 12gal, but a 12 gal will last longer before you have to run the compressors.

The arms can be a bitch to get off but a lot of times you can hammer or pry on the thread end of the cross shaft studs and pop them out towards the outside of the frame, then the arm just lifts up and off. The retainers only keep them from spinning...they don't hold them into the frame, the rust that builds up in there does that haha
what is re7? 2500 sized or 2600 sized?

bingo.

do you get more lift with 2600 sized bags or 2500s? I thought I read somewhere that a 2500 could max out the suspension, it just takes a higher pressure than a 2600?

the bigger the bag,the less pressure to get the desired lift which gets you a better ride

Re: Project: Mulligan

RE7 is a 2600 sized bag. 2500s will max out STOCK ARM suspensions. With aftermarket arms like SDs which have the Power Performance balljoints and better angles on everything a 2500 will be maxed out before the suspension is topped out. A 2600 sized bag usually has about an inch more travel than a 2500 sized bag. That means 2 more inches of travel at the wheels. Technically you can fit a 2800 sized bag in there which gets another inch of travel over a 2600 so you can get 4" more lift just from goin that route. If mixed with stock spindles you could be lookin at 6" more lift up front than what you get right now, and at about 1/3 the pressure you're puttin in them 2500s right now. Your upper bag cup will have to be pretty damn small though haha

Re: Project: Mulligan

i think it was an older one. Aren't all astro's the same? (As far as wipers are concerned)

They need to be repainted and they need new blades, but its just a wiper right? How beat up can it get?

2600s would be just fine, but if you want a really low ride height pressure that will ride really soft/smooth like a caddy, then do the lil extra cutting required for 2800s. However, the only 2800s I personally would run on the front of an S10 would be a Slam RE8
