Re: Project: Minty Fresh
Ive driven down my road 3 times each way, and the whole thing is covered in dust. thats at 20 or less. It gets a lot of traffic and oncoming traffic blows by doing 60. It pretty much just sucks and theres no way around it.

So this things back on jack stands again. Left work tonight to pick up a buddy and as I was pulling out of the driveway the brake pedal was on the floor. Pumped it a few times and it would regain pressure. The brakes are nothing like they were before I messed with the brake lines, and the front end started popping out of nowhere. So I dunno.

Re: Project: Minty Fresh
dibs on spindles! its just a few issues from lowering it, that may take a lil thinking to remedy, no biggy. If you think that your bagged truck will have zero issues when you get it back together you may be in for a surprise though haha. If the pedal went to the floor it lost fluid (obviously), and that should be easy to spot as it should be pouring out somewhere. The popping noise is probably a bad sway bar/control arm bushing

Re: Project: Minty Fresh
Isn't there some kind of issue with the big blazer calipers hitting the LCA or something and causing the brakes to go out when the drop spindles are used?
I thought I've heard something like that |

Bled the brakes with a vacuum pump. Pedal was super stiff until it got power and then to the floor, no leaks. Tightened up a trans line thats been leaking as well, hopefully its good. Painted my battery tray. I think im going to order a master cyl and see if that fixes it. my next day off is probably next tue or wed. We shall see what happens. But im busy with tests the next 2 days so I gotta run.

Re: Project: Minty Fresh
Ditch the vacce bleeder and do it te regular 2 person way....it's worth a try.... Also, if you do have some air in the and module, you may wanna try activating the abs system before bleeding. Go out to those gravel roads your always bitching about and stomp on the brakes a few times, then bleed. That may help also..... |
