Re: Project: Minty Fresh

The Jimmy bit me for the first time. Was on the bottom of the sway bar end link and slipped twice into the dust cover.

Had to buy new end links and run to town to get a spring compressor.

As of now.

Re: Project: Minty Fresh

Got my abs sensor on, Got the caliper on. These dual piston calipers are heavy, and suck. Got my new sway bar end links on. basically done with the front. Didn't feel like stealing the shocks off of the s10 tonight so i called it quits.

Re: Project: Minty Fresh

So i got my shocks swapped over, talk about a pita. Got the wheels swapped off of the s10. Greased the ball joints and put my zq8s on the front. When i put the wheels on i noticed my alignment is totally wack.

I was planning on getting aligned yeah, but its not even drivable, guessing the tires are toed out at least 2 inches per side. It wasn't like this when i did my s10. Is it normal? Do i just tape measure align it the best i can then drive it in and have it done? Did i do something wrong?

Re: Project: Minty Fresh

yeah if you use a tap measure it will get them close enough to drive to the shop.

if the tie rods angled down some from the factory and you lowered it and they are more straight across now, it pushed them out...

Re: Project: Minty Fresh

no, i've still gotta put my blocks in, and have my dad help with a stanley alignment. Might be doing tie rods ends too. And can we keep the gifs to a minimum? It takes 5 minutes for my internet to load one, let alone a page full.
