Re: Project: Minty Fresh

I seafoamed the turd the other night. Helped throttle response quite a bit. But i still have an issue where it acts like its not getting fuel when i first start it. Any ideas? It idles fine but when i start to drive i can mash it and nothing happens, then it will grab and go after about 100 feet and be totally fine.

Re: Project: Minty Fresh

Yeah, if you saw my thread I thought the same lol...

It had a new fuel pump too, my problem ended up being a loose connection inside of the wire spilcers- my fuel pump would prime every time, but sometimes not start or have a hard start + sputtring start and it was because the pump wasn't getting enough amps.

my other guess would be a weak spark issue, like ignition coil or distributor cap.

Re: Project: Minty Fresh

Borrow a fuel pressure gauge from work, and check for a bad FPR. Mine misses at fire up, sometimes really bad, but as soon as she warms up it goes away, except for very randomly but then its faint.
