The Metal Cutting has begun. As for right now i am working from the engine craddle back. Alot of "TRIG" involved with this rebuild lol. But i will have pics up soon. But while im writing this i want to see if anyone knows weather i should do a wishbone 3 link, four link, or what? and who makes a good kit? Help please lol !

and the frame is 32.25 " of the surface plate to the bottom. Works good for working at eye level.

This is what i worked on last night.

Cut out the old crappy frame rail and added this section in. Tacked it to the rear section until i finish the other side and have the tranny mount etc finished. Then ill section the back out. anyways enough blabbing, heres the pics.

wow what along time wasted. Ok so i had to go to timmins for a week + snow storms + gf freaking out + shit = barley anytime spent on it. More pics tomorrow. Motor and tranny should be in tonight for mock up

Ok guys heres what i have now. Tied in the 3" to the engine craddle and mounted the 350 mock up block with the 350 turbo hydramatic tranny. Tomorrow comes the trany mount and split drive shaft bearing mount. Enjoi!

Do you plan to tack or weld it down so you can make a jig for all of the pivot (critical) points on the truck? I welded my entire frame down all level before cutting anything out so that i knew it wouldnt flex out of alignment, the entire frame is just superficial, meaning it doesnt really matter where the tubing, or frame rails are, as long as the pivot points are where you want them, but it makes it much less of a headache when everything is square and level. Im just now getting my frame back together, check out my project thread in my sig...

your truck is going to look great, i love it keep up the good work!!! great idea to just redo the frame, would be a pain to mess with that crap...lol

ok LONG NIGHT! its 1200am and i am jsut getting on the old laptop now! so anyways all i have here is the tranny mount fabbed and just needs side gussets on the plate that mounts to the tranny and its done!.... other than that its 2x2x 1/8 sq tubing turned on a 45. neat affect that i like to do. what do ya think.

Wow i totally missed this reply.

And yes the front pocket aredef being redone. Im going to finish all my stuff first (Structually- ie: Backhalf etc) before i even know hwat im going to do to make that front look good lol
