lol no worries. Its S10forum not Dodgeforum so I wouldn't expect everyone to know. And its out of a 1990 D350 Dodge Pickup.

Just figured this is a good way to separate myself from the rest lol

Re: Project: Metal Head

Well im keeping my posts to a minimum to keep the secrecy of the truck until the show. But i did get the engine coated yesterday so i figured I may as well display it for yall.

Now gotta get it off the stand and put all the new stuff on lol If your gunna say that theres overspray on the mounts and adapter plate and turbo oil hose thats fine, but i left all that there because i have all new stuff going on and it worked as a mask for those areas.

Re: Project: Metal Head

Not sure if its been said or if you wanna spill the beans, but I have to ask. You doing any work to the engine? I've got a old 24 and 12 valve. Love them both. I'm also assuming that your going with the non inter cooled model to save room?

Completely stock power. Its the 1990 non inter cooled for the lack of space yes. Its already 440 ft/lbs and 190 hp i believe so im not too concerned for power lol

Re: Project: Metal Head

Couple updates.

Truck has been cancelled for the SEMA show this year. Had some issues at the shop that limited time on the truck and had to call it. So ill add a couple photos of what had been going on. Its not all but some.

The new release date is AUTORAMA.

Enjoi

Filled the wiper arm hole to match the pass side.

This is the gauge cluster im using in the dash. Just a quick shot to give you an idea of where the interior is going.

This is the entire suspension all disassembled for paint

This is what the frame looks like stripped

This is what the shop looks like every night. Trucks being worked on in and outside. Busy as heck lately so have to do what ya gotta do.

And cummins all painted beside a twin turbo engine we are building for a WS6 trans am.

Re: Project: Metal Head

Was running out of room in the shop so i decided to set it back together to build the cross member for the transmission and the floor. Setting up to do the floor in a 69 firebird beside it so it makes sense to do both at the same time.

Tranny isnt really that high with the body drop either.

Re: Project: Metal Head

Thanks guys!

So im going to go with a york compressor on the engine instead of the electric viars. Figured since i wont be playing with the air that much that i could prob just get away with that. Plus i dont like the sound of electrics running etc. Anyone apposed to this? lol

Re: Project: Metal Head

Ebay is really the way to go Curt. Ive bought three yorks for under $75 a piece (new remanned) in the [past three yrs..
If you search long enough youll see one pop up for cheap.. I have a new York 210 sitting on the shelf id sell ya but I think im gonna get it installed this summer and pull out the 206
If you got time to wait ill hook you up with my York 206 once its out.. There's hardly any difference in cfm between the 206 and 209's.. biggest difference is most 206's are rear flange style ports. 209's come in a Tube-O or flange head style.. PM me if you wanna wait it out a few weeks
