Re: Project--->LT1 swap and alittle more goodies!
as for updates, well i got a nich to try and do something about my interior this winter. I myself will try to get the Apillars the Bpillars, and other plastics shaved and completely smoothed so i can paint them the same color as the truck. Now as for the dash, that i need someone to do for me, thats a little outta my league, lol. ANd the door panels, i will try and give it ago. I figured the posi and rear shit i will leave up to the hotdog to do and in the mean time try and do a interior. I also have a plan for a centerconsole, little bit of custom, but its a stock dash of some sorts....lol heres my progress today, didnt get alot done due to sunlight, but hell its a start, i got til april, lol.... ![]() ![]() ![]() ^does it look smoothed out enough? thats just 60 grit i haveent even done a finer grit yet. I know the drill, dont use primer to act as a ''smoother'' of sorts. I mean i am going to get all grain looking texture out by sanding not primer, . I found out with the motor swap, if ur going to do something, do it the right way...its less stressful in the end |

Justin, I have an Eaton G80 posi up for sale. You interested? I keep hearing you talk about your rear, but I'm not sure what the deal is...

Re: Project--->LT1 swap and alittle more goodies!
welll got a bigger pic of my dyno sheet so u can let me know wat you experts think. The guy there is pretty sure its a fuel problem, like my fuel pump isnt sufficient enough , stock pump i still have in it right now, or a bad injector(s)

Re: Project--->LT1 swap and alittle more goodies!
Your max HP was at ~4600 RPM? Umm, yeah, there's a problem, Houston.
What cam do you have? If you have a "stock" fuel pump that's probably part of your problem. Go to AutoZone, get one of their cheap $20 fuel pressure gauges, take off your hood, put on the FP gauge, tape the display to your windshield (yes, I've done this many times) and then go do some WOT pulls around your house. If it dips below 43.5 PSI then you've got issues. Don't ask us ANY more questions till you've done this. Just kidding! |

Re: Project--->LT1 swap and alittle more goodies!
And yea i have been told to do that, i will probbaly take it down to the shop on weds, my day off, and get it hooked up. I mean every so often, when i start the truck up, it idles pretty bad and studders at first at idle and when i first start to accelerate, but after about 20 seconds of driving it, it than runs fine. Or fine atleast besides the lack of power. |
