Re: [ProjecT] LoW RangE
i just had never done this before and i pulled out my lowers and loosened my uppers so i could weld the bag mounts and stuff on, well when i did that it allowed the output shaft to pull out some... but when i fixed the wheelbase and bolted it all back up it was fine |

Re: [ProjecT] LoW RangE
well hell yea dude, ill go then... isnt it in like Gonzales? i would imagine youll jus stay at your house, but i wont show but i can go probably ok the pics just finished ![]() this is the dash tweeded and some kind of guage cluster with digital guages, i figured worse comes to worse i could go this route, NOT TWEED in my ranger, but the guages ![]() sry its small, the only one i can find worth looking at but i dont think that itll bee too much wider than mine is, ill find out this week though, i thought about not doing a dash, but what the hell, itll be that much cooler! |

Re: [ProjecT] LoW RangE
hell yea, the 68 dash was 12 and 3/4 inches wider, that dash was cut into five piece to get everything to fit and look right, then the guage cluster was cut into two and the glove box door was cut into 3 to keep the stock latch. Sooooooooooo ur lucky on that one man lol. Id get that steering wheel too and find some way of getting it on your column look cool

Re: [ProjecT] LoW RangE
well i can try and talk him onto letting me get the whole column maybe? id like to get the wheel tho
but it was shift on the coloumn tho , o well... i want it on the floor like it is now, but you think itll look good tho? you got any pics of yours? o, and my lights are already on a pull switch to. i can make that fit right into there... and my door panels are just flat, so it wouldnt look like it doesnt fit in there... i think itll look bad ass Last edited by 83LOWrange : 07-22-2008 at 10:45 PM. |

Re: [ProjecT] LoW RangE
hey man just realized that you had a thread for your project to. great job on all the stuff that you have done so far......have you decided on the 302 yet I didnt see anything about it anymore since about page three. my fiances grandpa is a ford man and has 3 older rangers with all v8s. I dont know anything really about ford motors but he has been buyin older lincoln towncars for like 500 bucks that have the 289 in them and makin stroker motors out of them. When he gets done with the motor he just scraps the car for like 200 bucks. you tackled the front yet?

Re: [ProjecT] LoW RangE
well you could always run into a newer ranger and grab the front clip off it or hell just grab the c arms off it with the mounts. Ive heard of people doin it man but dont know.

Re: [ProjecT] LoW RangE
oh and by the way, i feel bad encouriging cutting up that falcon, im a chevy man but i have a sweet spot for all 60s ford cars, especially falcons. But im gonna start looking around for wiring diagrams of falcons. I had a pain finding a "complete" set of diagrams for the 68 chevy so its good to plan far ahead lol.
and sorry to whore ur thread withmy shit box. But ive done 100% of the work on my truck. and yea the red interior is shitty, it will slowley bee turned to black with some good ole wood bed floor here and there if anyone wants to venture to blazinlow.com ive got a thread titled "updates and pictures' its pretty dead so whore it up lol |

Re: [ProjecT] LoW RangE
well **** yea for falcons, found a wiring diagram and each gauges and light seems to be wired idividual, not circuit board style with a main harness plug like my 68 dash. Sooooo this just b/c a **** load easier found some good wiring diagrams too
http://www.rowand.net/Shop/Cars/1964...ngDiagrams.htm also when did cars switch from 6v to 12v, just want to make sure these guages are 12v |

Re: [ProjecT] LoW RangE
ill have to look into that i know that the yotas we use are only 1/2" wider, so its basically perfect, 1/4'' on each side, and then we use a MII rack and pinion |

Re: [ProjecT] LoW RangE
yea thats what i was thinking, theres tons of ways to do it. Lots of older hotrods taht upgrad drivetrains keep the vintage guages.I just want to have the wiring ready. And if it something as easy as wiring some resistors inline i can do that and save lowrange some dough

Re: [ProjecT] LoW RangE
if your running a fuel cell that should be easy. What are the ohm's of the sending unit. Start looking around for the ohm on the falcon fuel guage. Im pretty sure fords are a standard number like chevys
