Re: [Project] Living up to my username

Supposidly my seats arrived at my door step a few minutes ago! Cant wait to get off work and see them. Ill try to put them in, but if they dont fit with my current console then ill have to put my current seats back in for ITB. I cant just simply remove my center console, everything in my truck is wired to it. And I seriously doubt my console will fit inbetween the new seats, but there is only one way to find out!

yeah after i posted that i was either looking through a magazine or on the net at pics, and there was a mustang with a big brake kit, and the rotors were on like yours.

Re: [Project] Living up to my username

Ok so I got my new seats today, woot! I love them, sat in them and they feel just like im sitting in my sierra, SOOOO comfy. So i tried to install it and as expected these are much wider then my racing seats, so with my fiberglass console installed there is no way in hell I can put the new seats in for good. So I put the racing seats back in and they will stay in for ITB this weekend. Now, Ive allready got a buyer for the new seats for $500 lined up and he wants them as soon as possible, cuz wouldnt you be anxious if you were about to buy something new? But I want to go to Low Rollers the following weekend as well. But like all the wires for everything aftermarket is ran through this console, so it isnt very easy to remove this console and keep the truck in working order. hopefully i can keep the racing seats for another 2 weeks then ill remove them and sell them off and ill temporary rig up my stock console with the gauges and all the switches and stuff while i try to quickly make a new console in late august and september.

anyways, pics

If anyone wants a nice console with 2 5.8" monitors in them let me know, PM me. I have absolutly no use for it and it is such a waste to do nothing with it. im keeping the gauge though, they are a standard size gauge. but ill have to include the 2 monitors(alpine by the way) since the console is specific to those monitors.

No comments on all the wires in the back of the truck!!!! I dont wanna hear it lol. The interior is the fall/winter project and will be perfect by next show season. Everything is in good proper working order, its just ugly in the back of the cab currently. I have a lot of plans for the interior. New console first (duh), big 10 or 11" screen in the main dash, the door panels, sub box, and I wanna do something with the interior panel of the 3rd door, just not sure what i wanna do in that yet. I might be getting ahead of myself with trying to accomplish all this in the next year, but it is a goal none the less.

Re: [Project] Living up to my username

the interior elecrical is all a work in progress. things are going to move around where they are now. a sub box used to cover that all up, but i junked that sub box when i started this project over a year ago so i could run the wires for everything. and the racing seats to me were uncomfortable compared to these things. And the harnesses got annoying. I was fine with them until I got my sierra, then I became spoiled with comfy seats.

hmmmmm well the monitors I could easily sell on ebay for $350-400 for the two of them. So maybe $500? best offer? And for size reference at the rear most part of the console i think it is 8" wide and at the dash area it widens to 9".

at least that's what's in my head for my own truck. would be pretty sweet. new luxury cars are coming with built in coolers, so why not.
