Re: [Project] Living up to my username

I'd hate to have to clean it .. but it sure looks good. Drive it much anymore though?

I only ask because i barely drive mine .. and yours has to be harder to take care of.

Re: [Project] Living up to my username

I was driving it every day for like 3 weeks. Then the compressor died on me and I stopped driving it even though I fixed it now. Also the girlfriend refuses to ride with me on days that its hot(which has been like everday the last month). She like dies in the s10 with no AC, so I have to drive the sierra on days that i go see her if we drive somewhere together lol. I havent driven it this week cuz im simply trying to keep it clean so i dont have to clean it for Carlisle again. This month is car show after car show after car show, so ill probably not daily drive it until september when i dont care if it gets dirty again

Re: [Project] Living up to my username

lookie what I bought tonight!

leather, 8way power adjustable, heated, 2 person memory settings on drivers side seats. god I cant wait to get rid of my stupid Corbaeu racing seats and the ever so annoying racing harnesses. I think this is the last thing on my to do list of getting rid of my old ricy stuff lol

This is what I currently have, if anyone wants them PM me. Im thinking $500 ish local pickup for the 2 seats, 2 harnesses, and 2 s10 specific mounting brackets with sliders.

and here is my viar480 mounted. Got it wired up and working tonight. cute little thing compared to my oasis haha. slow, but gets the job done of being a good backup.

PS: having a dump bed makes working on the suspension components and everything under the bed SOOOOOO easy

Re: [Project] Living up to my username

ya ive been looking online like a hawk for a mint set of charcoal leather power heated seats and finally came across these and i jumped on it! They are in such awesome condition! Ill finally be comfortable in my truck again! probably means I gotta make a new center console though, dont think mine will fit between these seats anymore, i had people measure before and thats the conclusion we came to. its ok, im cool with making a new console and doing a full fiberglass interior as my winter project to keep me busy, including those door panels ill finally get back on.

They really werent comfortable at all, a 3hour drive is about the longest Im willing to ride in them, after that my back starts to really hate me. So I cant wait to have these seats now!

nah, definitly not. I wont get em till next week Im sure, and I wont put them in until September most likely anyways. I dont see anyway in hell that these seats will fit with my current console inbetween them. I think my console is 1 or 2" too wide. And If I remove my console I need to undo like a ton of electrical wiring. So ill leave the current seats and console in until september, when the show season is basically over. I might try to put the seats before then, but im sre it wont work with the console.

**** that sucks! i didnt think about that. All i was thinking about was yay for heated seats in the winter when i dont have heat in the truck lol

actually, both front and rears are backwards, although unless they are directionally vented, its not too big of a deal.

perfectly flat too. makes me wanna jump on it lol

also, Q.

how do you unbolt the top bolts on your dump bed bags if they need replacing?

Re: [Project] Living up to my username

i would guess you would unbolt it from the bottom and unscrew the bag off the bolt that im guessing is welded on to the upper cup.

Re: [Project] Living up to my username

I absolutely love your truck, its definately one of the cleanest I've seen and I hate to critique it but only having one "crossmember" I guess you could call it for your front tank for some reason annoys me to death. I can tell there isn't room for another bolt on but couldn't you have had one welded in since you don't weld yourself?

It seems that each manufacturer has different recommendations. The Baer brake kit specifically stated and showed it to be installed the way I have it on the front. So I mounted the rear brakes in the same manner as I did the front, because according to Baer that is what is correct. I have seen it written both ways over the years, depends on the manufacturer of the brakes I guess maybe just one of those unagreed upon things in the industry
