Adam F*&K The people think you didnt build your truck. Ok yeah u didnt build your bed cause u knew u didnt have the skills to pull it off. Some people dont skills time or location to pull off that work so if we want it we have to pay the people who do. When i think of Built not Bought i think of the people who buy a truck 100% done and then show it but who the hell cares. Truck looks awesome, it doesnt matter if you picked up a welder or opened your wallet, you BUILT your truck. Dont let them get ya down! Drive the piss outa your work of art!

Re: [Project] Living up to my username

good god, this thread is nuts, haha.

Adam ive followed this thing since the beginning, and i gotta say between everyone who's worked on it, it came out siiiccc.. its sad to see you continuously get sht from everyone on this forum. personally, i think its a jealousy factor. people are always gunna hate on someone who can afford to do it right. if you go to a show with nice cars/trucks, you'll always have those guys who are like "he must live at home" or "hell, if i had money id do that too". the fact is, who the **** cares, its your truck, and its rad. i give ya props man, for not only doing majority of this work yourself, but for not giving in to all these internet haters and doing what you visioned... hell, last year? sic truck man, cant wait to see it in person.... aaaaaaaaand done. HA

Re: [Project] Living up to my username

haha, thanks a lot guys! I really appreciate it. I just cant wait to start driving to work everyday and to friends houses and car meets and stuff on nice weather days. I guess ill have it back very soon once John finishes the wet sand and buffing. One of the guys at work thinks im crazy for wanting to start driving it regularly (he has been following the build up of it a little bit always asking about it). but I didnt build it to park it

Im not gonna lie...it is kinda neat. And 2 years ago I gave serious consideration to lambo-ing my tailgate as that is something I have never seen done, but clearly talked myself out of it. But John you now know what I plan to do with my tailgate now, as that too will be a one-off custom thing I have NEVER seen done. Just need to wait a bit to save the money to do that, which you need to give me an estimate for anyways.

PS: when can I pick up the truck sucker?!?!

Re: [Project] Living up to my username

The bed looks awesome. I thought it would be really bouncy with that much weight on an airbag, but it airs up and down pretty smoothly.

Re: [Project] Living up to my username

awsome job. and adam, u didnt do the bed.. so what. u didnt build the motor either. doesnt mean u didnt build the truck the way u wanted it! now, if u paid everyone to bag it and do every small detail u didnt build it.. but u didnt pay 10 shops to build it. and u didnt buy it off ebay like it is(cough cough)! so u did build it! leave the sticker, u deserve it!
