[Project] "Just Fixing A Few Things"
So, i havent been active on this site for awhile.. well i have just not posting too much, mainly because i had nothing useful to contribute...but now i think its time to start a project thread since my simple "fix a few things" turned into a frame off rebuild.
![]() This was the truck for many years, yes its that truck. ![]() This is what the truck became, no real changes were made, just color.. ![]() Then, tear down started over the "winter", i had only intended to finish tubbing the firewall, and get a new 7" booster to make some room.. ![]() Then, I decided it could use a new bed too.. so that was taken off as well as the doors, because i want handles when it goes back together. ![]() Ikea S10. ![]() This is the way it say in the garage for awhile. ![]() I scored a bed from a member on here, and he was kind enough to bring it from maryland all the way up to me in nepa... i had it a total of 6 hours and the cutting started. ![]() removing seam sealer sucks.. just saying. ![]() Man, this bed was almost too clean to cut up. ![]() 10hours after i got the bed, it was missing a floor. ![]() A couple hours after the floor was removed, it was put back in its new place! Stock Floored As F*ck. ![]() ![]() ![]() I decided the air management could use some updating so thats to Ct @ Beefcake Customs, i got 2 Viair 444c's 4 GC 1/2" Valves 2 Water traps and a pressure switch. Also picked up a 7" Booster ![]() While the cab was away.. i started stripping the frame, im going to replace everything, every line, and paint everything also, gotta move the bag mounts and notch for tie rods.. because. ![]() I picked up these, yes they are the offical s10forum whore wheels. ![]() Brought the cab to a buddies house to get some much needed attention.. and boom firewall was gone. ![]() hmmm... ![]() ![]() oh yeah! ![]() ![]() Now that looks gooder. so thats pretty much up to date, still have alot more to do but it should come together pretty soon now. |

Progress looks good man!
So, just trying to get this straight... are you JollyGreenMini, just with a new user name? Because I thought he said he sold that truck circa 2011, but you said it's been your truck for many many years. Just curious... Either way, I love the truck and it seems like you have a good plan and direction for it |

Re: [Project] "Just Fixing A Few Things"
haha, thanks... yeah the tubs are huge but PA roads suck.. so i wanna run a bigger tire on the 20's and i wanted to completely get past the old line where it was bodied so it was just smooth straight down.

Re: [Project] "Just Fixing A Few Things"
did a little more work, took alot longer than i thought it was going to, so we didnt get much to look at done.. alot of redoing templates and such but on to the pics!
![]() ![]() ![]() starting to look like something now, gotta go back in and trim the bottom corner by the gas pedal area, other than that.. that section is ready to goto bodywork. |
