Both, until I get some of the other work done, she is mostly a street queen, but she will see dirt

Re: Project: Jamie, about time I figured out what I wanted and got to it!

Are you talking the Hella's I bought? I was going to mount them behind the grill. I'm a huge light fan, the more the better. I have some mounted on my Ford, and I am going to put some on my VW. These were going to be stealth, well sorta behind the grill, but looking at it now, I'm not sure they fit...so new plan...or when I get a pre-runner style bumper...if that ever happens, I'll put these on. But that also depends if I decide to buy another S10/Sonoma, in which case, I am still going to put extra lights on her, but those HAVE to be stealth, because then I'd be transfering all the lift parts from this truck to that one. The other S10 I want to but has to be extended cab v6 five speed, red perferred but not mandatory, other then that, I don't care what options are in it lol

Forgot I posted that lol And I'm considering it...I'm not sure I will do it yet. I like clearance lights, they make me giddy lol I have no idea why. Probably because I work on all things diesel which is mostly HUGE trucks with them

pretty good, what i want to get because it already has uniballs on the upper arms. i think it nets you 10 to 11 inches of travel.

pretty much in order of quality it goes fabtech(not made anymore) or AIM longtravel, then CST, BajaCustoms soon to be produced through C4 fabworks or custom im sure you've heard of Metul monkey on DD he makes some mean kits.

basically what ive heard is the cst kit is basically an AIM kit but with unibal uppers and better bushings.

How much more than stock do (if any really) the lift spindles make the wheels stick out?

About 1 inch either side on the front, but I also went to a wider tire. So they are sticking out about 2 inches (eyeball) on either side

I already got the project started by upgrading the coil springs. Im using moog5664 springs. Then Ill get 3" spindles and 4" shackles. Debating on puting 31x10.5 tires on the wheels I have now or get some black steelies from jegs.....

Still playing the ball joint game, currently just ordered Kore3's FlexKore Brakeline kit, now the waiting game! All in time. More pics coming soon. Trucks currently sitting dead, haven't had much time to play with it. Need to clean out the bed and then get the battery started. I miss driving it, so making a big push in the next couple weeks to get her up and running. Then I need to get some stuff done on the Ranger for it.

Lol well been busy, got a steady job, and still doing side work, family health issues, and the likes have kinda put a damper on things. Plus I was pretty mad at the truck when i found out the ball joints were ****ed up. So now I am ready to be driving it again.

Re: Project: Jamie, about time I figured out what I wanted and got to it!

I understand, just saying. I feel the same with my bagged truck. Battery is dead, compressor switch has a loose connection so it only works half the time, and a bearing is making a squeel like it's dry (But i can't figure out which) I gave up on it for a while but i've been really wanting to clean it up and take it back out of retirement.

I'm looking forward to updates. Hopefully some pictures of the truck covered in mud soon too

Personally,i like the 3.42's that mine has. It drives alright on the street, and i do just fine offroad in 1st/2nd gear. Mine is a slightly bigger engine, but yours is a lot newer. I would think my gearing would work for you.

Re: Project: Jamie, about time I figured out what I wanted and got to it!

Future plans, should I finally get the truck on the road lol

- New stereo, cd finally died, and I want an Ipod hook up
- New speakers, duh, want more sound! Not subs, just more sound, as I like window down cruising
- Fiberglass front fenders, need to replaced my smashed front passenger anyway, I'll undercoat the fenders to keep the chips down, and haul ass from there!
- gears! Truck is a pig with 31's and a 4 cylinder

Future, future plan:

CST long travel, nuff said...let's jump this bitch
V8...I wasn't going to do it, but **** it, I want some more balls in this girl. And I will be playing with it to get the same mileage out of her, 24 freeway is the goal, anything higher is a bonus, we are going to make her look all stock. Fuel injection, factory gauges the works

Re: Project: Jamie, about time I figured out what I wanted and got to it!

Drove her into town after I cleaned her up and got the battery jump started today. Man how I missed it. Just need to get the front end sorted and get the brake lines here, then some baja fenders, until then cut to clearance. The ass sags horribly, so I am lighting up the owls at night instead of the deer, gotta get that sorted. I may go see if I can pick up some different rear springs at the junkyard, my truck never had a rake to it like most Dimes, so I may still have rear Zq8 springs, so I want to change them over and see. That or I am ordering the overload springs for it. I just want to get her back on the road already! So close!

Not till I get the ****ing brake lines!!! I think I got my ball joint issue fixed, and as soon as I get the brake lines, I'll be going back in for my alignment...assuming they can do it. I am saving for long travel, then I can dial this bitch in. Been cruising CL for a used rear Blazer axle for the extra width. I need one preferably with a 4.11 gear set. Also saving for the baja fenders, and going to pull the bedside then. I also have a SSBC disc brake kit, which I'll do then too.

Hey I see your from Sintrhellya even recognized the pic where you were driving up Pearl St. I just read where you want to change your leafs out.
If you want to sell your rear leafs let me know I'd be interested as long as they are the ZQ8 springs and I'm local so no shipping.

Dude I love that dime, you have no idea. I love the flames on it, and I hate flames on most trucks. I will find out. I'm looking for non-Zq8's if you have any, I'd trade you straight across, I need the heavy duty Z85 towing springs if I can get them. I'll keep an eye out for a set too, I have a couple buddies with parts laying around too. When'd you get the truck?

This is my daily, feel free to wave, I'll come find you one day in town.

haha, same here though. Two fords, (Three counting my brothers Taurus when hes home) my chevy, a honda, and a Chrysler. lol.

I'm trying to consolidate to 3 chevys, one honda, and my brothers Taurus/sisters escort. bahaha. The honda I'm actully flipping so it won't be a round so im not sure why I'm counting it.

*end randomness*

You think you're ever going to replace that passenger fender and bumper? Just curious.

Haha, the Dodge is in the process of being sold to a friend for his GF, needs a transmission. I am trying to dump everything but the GMC and the Ford. My buddy buying the Dodge has my 75 Buick at his place, in need of an engine. The VW's are to far gone, rust is a bitch, but I want another diesel one, so I am going to sell what I have and get another one.

As for the fender and bumper...HELLS YEAH! I am getting Baja fenders for it, and I am getting a prerunner bumper made if possible, talking to some of the boys on Dezert Dimes, and sounds like I have a source their. Then repaint the bitch back to factory, since it has about 3 shades of Victory Red, from all the various wrecks I've had, so I'd like to get it back to one color lol and fix the damage done to her. At this point it's almost a **** it moment, and I'll just rip the truck apart and cage it, put the rear baja fenders on and go for it.
