Lol dont bolt it man, u gotta drill all them holes though frame steel... its not worth it. I had my notch for a year before I put it in ahhaha. But yeah, swapping the calipers is super easy, only thing I did was get stainless braided line from www.inlinetube.com

basicly over the airbag delete spot i cut out some scrap plastic piece and set it in hole then just filled the rest of the hole up with it, let it dry then ruffed it up and filled it in some more.

then over the 4x4 delete i just left the plastic piece in and filled in all around it with the 2part stuff to make sure it was in there nice, snug and flush.

after the plastic was pretty flush with all the other stuff i just put some poly filler over the top of it to make a nice and smooth finish.

yeah i have yet to run a full tank of gas and throw my spare tire back in so hopefully it will still not bottom out. we couldnt go much higher because of the body mounts in the rear . although i did get on it once and my driveshaft rubbed lol.

well i haven't drove it much maybe like 30 miles but what we ended up doing was grinding down part of the notch a little bit that we thought might hit the caliper but its super close but it hasn't rubbed yet to my knowledge im going to pull the rim off and check it in a few days to see if it has though.

Re: [Project] I'm bored why not!

if your calipers hit, your brakes should kinda go out and you have to pump the pedal.. thats how mine was.

That's what I was thinking about doing with my notch as well. Either that or just cutting the part out completely that might rub. Keep us posted.

I flipped the brake lines so I don't have that problem any more.

Haha, I've learned that trick too. I thought it was from my front brake lines being stretched though.

I just need to notch for my calipers damnit. I'm only at a 3.375" drop in the back.

i had that problem with my flipped brake lines. then i got my braided lines and the banjo fitting is round so it clears where the factory block fitting hit.. plus ive been alot more careful.

that reminds me i still need my braided lines for my front brakes lol...

Re: [Project] I'm bored why not!

so chris is your notch not as far up as mine is? i thought it was alittle weird how the notch didnt really line up with the top or bottom of the frame and it had a little overhang. also how hard is it to notch for the driveshaft? is it just a mater of cutting away some stuff.

yeah, the top of my notch is level with the top of the factory frame rails. i wanted more area to weld on so thats why.. but i should of pushed it up as high as i could. and notching for drive shaft.. i had to notch up under the truck. like center console area. at first with just 3" drop leafs and 3" normal blocks it hit my rear crossmember alot.. but then i put in shims like i needed and no more hitting. just up under the truck. but about 5 minutes with a plasma took care of that.

you can see here where i notched

and the amount of room inside my notch with no air in shocks

and yay for not being able to sleep...

You can get around just fine at that height. What is the need for the lifting? Jut go burn up those tires then buy smaller ones.
