Damn it Doug. How many times do we have to tell you. The Barbie corvette seats are not going to fit.

Re: 4-Door Love project pics

No you're wrong. They're one of the only seats that WILL fit in the back. That and the little baby seat Pooch had.

Re: 4-Door Love project pics

Here's a few before and after pics of the garage. Time to get back to work on the truck. I'm picking up the new seats on Wed.

Before:

After:

All the sawdust on the truck is from helping Pooch at Kinetik Kustomz with a box he's building for a customer right now. Made some speaker rings for it tonight.

Re: 4-Door Love project pics

Ya. There's already a big improvement in heat retention. I still have some gaps around the doors to take care of to finish it off. The extra light is amazing. It makes it SO much easier to do things.

Re: 4-Door Love project pics

I picked up the new seats and a new center console. Planning on working on them this weekend. They weigh a TON because of all the power stuff. Even more than the power ones I have in my 2nd gen. If I can get them to fit I'll have power, leather, and suede front and rear seats for the '08 show season and my 1st gen seats will go up for sale. Wish me luck!

Re: 4-Door Love project pics

Nope. No factory seating. The bench in the back is from the same vehicle I got the buckets from. I have to do a lot of modifying to get it all to work though.

Re: 4-Door Love project pics

I'll take some pics once I get everything to fit or at least close to it. I just want to make sure I'm actually going to be able to make this work before I get everyone's hopes up.

Re: 4-Door Love project pics

Nah, maybe I'll save the SFBD for later. Right now I just want a real nice interior to roll in. I'd be doing the custom interior work even if it was an IRS. I figure, no matter how cool your exterior and suspension is, if your interior sucks it kind of kills the experience. I see SO many custom rides that have a so-so interior. Either that or they do a TON of stuff but the quality is kind of questionable. Some of the OEM manufacturers are puting some real nice interiors in some of the new rides. I'm going to take advantage of that. The seats are from an '04. The center console is from an '05.

I actually have the rear seat in my living room and I'm in the middle of cutting it up right now while watching a rerun of the nasty work Unique Autosports did on Jeff Gordons race car.

Re: 4-Door Love project pics

Not much progress on the 1st gen lately. I've been helping a buddy work on a fiberglass box for another guys Blazer. Been trying to get a few things taken care of on my 2nd gen too now that there's snow on the ground and it's my DD. Once I get the new seats mounted I'll definitly post pics. It won't be for a while though.

Probably won't make it to Havoc but I'll definitly be at ITB again.

Ya. Lots of parties during the summer and not much time to return them I guess. I think one was even half full. They work great. Highly recommended!

Re: 4-Door Love project pics

Well progress has been slow with the holidays and stuff. Hopefully I'll get some more done in the next week or so. Today is going to be devoted to the 2nd gen. 1 or 2 dash lights went out so I'm replacing them with LED's.

Ya you're probably right. I've been working on some other things and taking a little break from it. Almost 2 years driving an hour in each direction 3 or 4 nights a week kind of takes it out of you. Hopefully I'll get off my ass after the new year.
